Best Shorts for 18 year old skinny son with long legs

Hi All, what is the best style of shorts for my son who has long skinny legs, think a bit weedy (sorry son!). Jeans and chinos look OK but shorts just look a little silly, something with a turn up?

My 16 year old is 6 ft 5 and mostly has cut off tracksuits as shorts. (When he was younger I used to cut them down when he grew too tall for them or when he got a hole in the knee). You can just cut tracksuit material and it doesn’t fray so you don’t need to hem or anything. I usually cut just above the knee.

If you’re buying, they will probably need to be tall shorts - ASOS and next are where I get most of his stuff. There is also a site 2tall.com which specialises in tall fittings for slim men and looks good but is way more expensive.

My ds is 6 foot 2 and wears the normal ones sold by men's brands like Boohoo, H&M and Nike.
