Totally waterproof non smudge mascara for very easily irritated sensitive eyes

I have a family occasion coming up. I never wear mascara because it irritates my eyes and makes them water which then makes the mascara smudge and it’s all a vicious panda eye circle. I’ve tried quite a lot over the years and they either make my eyes hurt where they irritate then and they water so much I look like I’m constantly crying; don’t make my eyes water but smudge and make me look like I’ve got black eyes, or else a combo of the two.

Can anyone recommend a mascara that’s good for super sensitive eyes that won’t irritate my eyes and will stay put? I also have a habit of rubbing my eyes which I know doesn’t help matters...

Have you tried a tubing mascara? They're smudge proof but come off easily with hot water. I like Clinique Lash Power, I wear contacts so quite often rub my eyes but it doesn't smudge and has never irritated them.

Definitely a tubing mascara - I always got panda eyes until I was recommended the gold Stay Perfect one from Boots No 7.

Yep tubing. Estée Lauder double wear is great. I wear the stay perfect boots one mentioned above, and it’s good enough, but if I could afford it then EL is better!

Have really sensitive skin. Never had any problems with colour me beautiful eye makeup including mascara. Otoh, Swiss formula I've rubbed off within 30 mins.

I second clinque lash power! Been using it 4 years as I work outside in all weathers all year and it’s the only one not to smudge/run/panda eye .Also if you can get to a clinque counter they may even give you a mini one for free?

I love the Double Wear too Allotment (the lengthening one)** but I prefer the smaller brush the Lash Power has

Clinique lash power for me, I’ve got really oily skin and it’s the only one that doesn’t move half way down my cheek!

I’ve got the lilies lids ever and always get panda eyes by mid-morning. Agree with the Clinique lash power, No 7 stay perfect and Estée Lauder double wear - I’ve used all of them in the past. I’m currently using the Hourglass Caution and am finding that good too.

Another vote for No. 7 - the tubing mascara. Its the only one I can wear without looking like I've just got home from a night on the tiles.

I never know when a mascra is tubing until I try to remove it!

Just an update - today Boots have £10 off if you spend £20 so as my clinque lash power has ran out I’ve decided to try the no7 stay perfect and a foundation.
It gives you the code if you go online.
