Trousers- when you are long waisted, thick thighed and 5'3. Is it impossible to find a flattering pair?

Specifically, black trousers that I can wear to work. Willing to pay up to £80, would settle for navy.

Usually everything that gets over the thighs gapes at the waist. I'm only an 8 on top but can wear up to a 12 or even a 14 in trousers/jeans.

I ordered the Delany Hobbs trousers currently on sale in JL. 10 was too tight, 12 very gapy and the side seam was puckered.

You won't be able to buy off the peg size 8 waist and 14 hips trousers.
You need tailoring.

Today I went shopping and have decided to give up on trousers. Same as you slim waist but large thighs / bum. Nothing ever fits properly. The bottoms I can wear are leggings, jeans are a nightmare.

Have you tried the Boden richmonds? I’m thinner waist and bigger hips and they fit perfectly. They do petite too

Though I’m 5ft 5 and the regular length fit great. Prob worth ordering in various sizes on free returns

I’ll give Boden a go, thanks!

Every now and again I find a flattering pair but I think it’s lucky flukes.

Reiss cropped tailored trousers, think they come in black and navy might work. I'm 5'2" and they're full length on me. I also have a small waist and generous thighs!
