MN style mavens - does anyone have time to find me a black dress for tomorrow???

Appearing on stage with a band - not in the band so don't normally do gigs, just stepping in. I need to wear black and don't have any, so I'm hoping to get a black dress. Needs to be flattering but a bit glam and evening-y. Not too much leg, not muttony. I am pear-shaped size 14-16 so ideally plain/longish below and interesting/cleavage-y above - but there is a bingo wing issue. Oh and I like things to be a bit diffferent and fiunky, not overly formal.

Not much to ask eh?

Oh and on top of all that I have to get it from a shop tomorrow for tomorrow night, so can't do mail-order!

M&S have some jersey dresses for £20 with a kind of 1930s fake-bolero shoulder.
Pic Shorter version availble in black looks great with calf-length black boots, tried it on last night!

Wow thanks bouquets, 20 quid! Will make M&S my first port of call and try that on. Handily, the only black shoes I have are calf-length black boots...

I have that dress and wear it with boots and a big belt -- it was recommended by Kwok or whaever his name is - and is fab! well recommend it

Oh it was OK thanks bouquets! - I'm a bit annoyed with myself because I fluffed one bit but the gig was great overall.

Contrary to what I had in mind, I went for this in the end - more forgiving of tum! (and went well with the boots) Not £20 unfortunately but I like it a lot and it should get further use (did not have any kind of LBD up till now).

Yes I think it reminded me a bit of my gothy past (when I overdosed on black, hence not wearing it much now...)
