A nice cosy yet stylish hoodie???

Does such a thing exist? I am 36, with a mum tum, and due to the rubbish weather I am yearning for a nice, coat hoodie that won't make me look like a sack of potatoes or like I've completely given up on life. One that I can sling on to walk the dog, or turn up to a casual social gathering come autumn without looking like a ridiculously overgrown teenager.

I've got a fairly long body and most hoodies just look ridiculous on me, swinging around my tummy button. Used to rate jack wills but those days are far behind me, and it's only now that I am craving a hoodie.

Was recommended scampanddude but most sizes sold out and with the shipping fee...!

Budget of around £60.

Help!

I’d love to help but haven’t a clue! Shameless follow/bump

I’m 40 and wear a Jack Wills hoodie.

Got it in the sale and it’s great, warm.

SpillTheTeaa · 08/07/2020 21:32

I'm 27 and have a hoody that's a bit like a teddy bear material and it's so comfy Grin

BikeRunSki · 08/07/2020 21:34

I’m 49 and want exactly the sane thing for the same reason. I do have one, but it’s my Cub leader uniform. I’d like something a bit.... plainer.

How about one of these....

I got a Christmas themed hoodie from here last year and the quality, style and fit was great. Am thinking of getting one of the star ones so i can wear it more often!

dooratheexplorer · 08/07/2020 21:54

@SpillTheTeaa is that stylish?!

SpillTheTeaa · 08/07/2020 21:56

I'd say so dora but of course everyone's taste in clothes are different Smile

babycornplease · 08/07/2020 22:02

@SpillTheTeaa I did look at those but they are a bit too furry for my liking...Grin

Om and Ah?

babycornplease · 08/07/2020 22:04

@AppleCrumbleCake oooh they look great! How do they fit though? I like the star ones too....

I want warm, yet long, yet not shapeless. Not fussy at all Grin

I wear something similar for slobbing around the house! Grin

babycornplease · 08/07/2020 22:16

@dooratheexplorer you clearly have higher standards than me. Although that's the look I was going for! An around the house hoody that also be wearable outside so people don't run away in fright... or make small children cry (including my own)...

I recently got one from Joe Browns which I really rate. Cosy but quite smart with some nice embroidered bits. I think they've mostly sold out of hoodies in their current sale, but worth keeping an eye out for when new stock comes in.

LunaNorth · 08/07/2020 22:17

The ‘Shine’ one is lovely.

I like the Elsie’s Attic lightning bolt too.

My current favourite hoodie is a Fat Face one.

These look nice. They give a donation to mental health charity Mind for every item sold.

Kin from John Lewis. Their own brand. Lovely and washes up great. X
