since last years winter coat was a size 16, and i am now a size 10 i need a new coat.
so how come i cant find any in the shops anywhere?
i bought this coat from marks, looked gorgeous, but its got no lining. how is that going to keep me warm? looked at a few others there, an none of them seemed to have any linings either.
next had none in the shop i went to. nothing in the catalogue inspired me.
topshop nothing either except what looked like school uniform coats.
any suggestions and ideas please.

Gap do really warm down puffa coats each year - long and short ones - not in shops yet though. If you want something for walking, then even wool ones won't be as warm as something windproof.

I bought a gorgeous duffle style coat last winter from John Lewis which is fully lined and has wool and cashmere. It wasn't a style I would have usually considered but as soon as I saw it and tried it I knew it was the one for me. It was expensive but will last ages. I had to really search among all the granny coats though until I found it, so it may be worth your while having a look in a few shops. Can't wait to get it out again for the school run once the weather turns colder.

I got a nice grey wool one from Whistles. They had a few to choose from.

Fatface have some nice parka thingies if you want a more casual look.
