Where can I buy nice sporty clothing or active wear for pre-teens?

My lovely niece is turning 11 and one gift idea is to get her a gift card or similar for some clothes. She's not really bothered about fashion as such but is very sporty. Are there any brands/shops I should look at which would suit someone her age? (She's started to go through puberty and is quite tall but she/her mum wouldn't like anything too grown-up looking)

JD would be the best bet for her age. Loads of brands and age appropriate

Sports Direct and I think they have sale on ATM.

If your not after a certain brand but more fashion matalan and primary both do great fashion orientated sports wear x

If she’s still in Primary I’d go for Matalan, my dd is in yr 5 and lots of girls wear it. If she was a year older I’d say go for Adidas/Nike - my ds is in yr7 and there is a definate shift.

Decathlon - it's easily the best VFM and the performance is very good

DD's friends are all turning 11 and they are all quite in to names now. I'd not get from Primark or decathlon (the latter is good for actual sports wear but not necessarily for fashion wear). MandM direct website have a lot of branded clothing at really knock down prices. I get dd a lot from there I pay a small yearly amount then you get unlimited next day delivery too.

Thanks all for these suggestions! My own kids are pre-school age so I'm clueless about teen/pre-teen fashion. DN will be going to secondary school next term so this stuff is just starting to matter to her.

My daughter is 11 in a couple of months, and likes Nike, Adidas etc. The stuff for girls of that age is fine, the crop tops are not actually that cropped. It's not quite like Gym Shark, my daughter would. It be happy with Matalan or Primark, she would have been fine with it last year, but she's very aware of brands now
