Been growing my fringe out.

Hair looks dull with new colour on.

Fringe put back in for a lift??

No - you'll regret it. Get it to the length you want and then have the total hairstyle you want, not just the fringe! P.S. I went from 1 foot long to 2 cm long and then back to bob length - nightmare growing out but worth it.

What do I do in the mean time?

bobby pins!

Right. Hair is just below shoulder length and has little kicky up bits. Okay actually.

Front bit is not good. trying to grow fringe out so can tuck behing ears as everyone else seems to have that so I guess it is what I am meant to do. However, have very tiny ears so don't know why I am doing it.

Let fringe grow and it has curly bits, have had a cor-flick when I was a kid.

Must not cut fringe myself. Must not cut fringe myself. Must not...

Especially as had a glass of wine and are such a lightweight that I can already feel affects.

Get thyself to a hairdresser and pick their brains on how to deal with your sticky out bits. Long hair is a pain to get but it's worth it .

I don't mind the sticky out bits. They are mor like flicke dup bits. It is the front that is a mess.

Maybe you need the fringe thinned rather than cut? I have my fringe razored diagonally so I get a long sweep to tuck behind my ear (the rest is framed around my face and long at the back) but that's my sorta style.

Impulse morning. went and had hair sorted. Hairdresser felt it would suit me if I grew it out to tuck behind my ears, so she just thinned it out a bit for me. Cost an amazing £3. Hope it sits better now. Still think colour is cr*p.
