What trainers with floaty skirts?

I'm mid 40's and have lots of nice floaty mid calf length skirts and dresses- pastel
Blue with pastel Colour print, mint green. denim skirts/dresses, khaki skirts/dresses and I usually wear them with sandals but if it's cold I want to wear trainers instead but what would go? Navy converse (although not sure about white toe but) Something better and would go better? I'm 5'4 and size 16-18 and got wide (fat) feet and don't suit anything delicate/pretty. Thanks

Air and grace are lovely

itbemay1 · 21/06/2020 13:12

I've got these and they go with most dresses/skirts

Another vote for air and grace. I have wide feet and fallen arches and these fit really well. I love the rose gold.

@KingCatMeowInSpace I like relaxed skinny jeans, ankle grazers or turned up at the ankle with a pair of Stan Smiths. I have a white pair that are croc pattern. With my shape, the only skirts that are my friend are knee length tulip waist pencil skirts.

Patbutcherismyhero · 21/06/2020 16:25

I think a white canvas trainer like vans or converse suit this look best but the Stan Smith ones would work too.

I love white trainers with my midi skirts but, as I have big feet, I find some of them look huge and very out of proportion. I like Lacoste's Ziane trainers. They're more streamlined & feminine, but still have that trainer look.

Lacoste ones look nice and I saw them on schuh website in a slip on style- hmm maybe they'd work and look daintier and not too frumpy (dumpy) with me being round n short hmm

I wear my white Converse with summer dresses, skirts, cropped trousers and jeans. They go with everything

bookish83 · 21/06/2020 18:44

Supergas

They are also not as flat as converse Smile

FedUpAtHomeTroels · 21/06/2020 18:56

I got a pair of light denim coloured Toms to wear with summer dresses for when it's too cold for sandals.

I’ve got these, they’re a bit more elegant than most trainers. I needed a half size bigger than I usually wear.

I have white and grey converse. I don't wear the white ones if I think it's been raining or likely to rain Smile

I have wide flat feet and so Converse are really comfy for me.

MilkshakeandFries · 22/06/2020 17:07

Another vote for Air and Grace!

I live on the South Coast so it's not too bad actually!

But then of course you don't want them to get too dusty either Grin

goose1964 · 22/06/2020 22:55

I had these last year and wore them out because I wore them so much, I had plenty of compliments on them www.mandmdirect.com/01/details/RH562/Reebok-Classics-Womens-Leather-Melted-Metals-Trainers-Pearl-Metallic-Grey-Gold-White
