It just looks like someone's rested a tissue over it.

I saw them a while ago but couldnt figure out how they were suitable for winter..first bit of rain and they will be soaked!

Carotte · 24/09/2007 20:36

That bit of fleece will be manky.

A step too far I think.

Would you wash it every day though, swishing through all those damp autumn leaves? OMG, remember what is hidden in leaves sometimes. It might squish through the holes.

LittleMinx · 24/09/2007 23:07

omg you got to be joking

Sorry but they are totally bloody vile

Reminds me of the wooden clogs lined with newspaper (sticking out) that they used to wear on the fishmarket when I wer' a lass.

Looking at these, two words spring to mind.
Fashion. Victims.

As someone who refrained from wearing crocs, may I say that your Birkenstocks are just as good with thick socks

That picture is hysterical.
Was convinced it was a mock up (Croc up?) for a good while.

lmao

There was a thread about these in August sometime. They are just gross!

OMG those deck shoe ones are even worse. I mean, the two good things about crocs are that they are easy to slip on/off and washable. This design removes those virtues and renders the ugly even uglier.

"Fashionable Italian styling" my foot.

Calif,Americans have been wearing somethi ng similar to that for years. I first saw them in NC in 1990.
Leather and plastic combo and if leather wears out they replace it gratis. A famrer showed me his that he had had for about 20 years.

(quite like the wellies though)

BarefootShirl · 25/09/2007 18:24

OK, I know I may not be the norm and crocs may be very comfortable but there is just no way I would wear something like this! I'll be sticking with my barefoot in summer and flip flops in winter approach thanks all the same. Flip flops won't last 20 years but am I bothered?
