So many lovely brand s of bag out there

I love British brands like Aspinal but also have some coach and would love a longchamp.

What’s your most favourite?

Used to be Mulberry, but not any more. I only buy them second hand, and the older styles, now.

I have a small longchamp backpack that is probably my most used bag.

SpeckledyHen · 18/06/2020 17:39

I have a few Mulberries from the dark ages and still love and use them . Also a few Longchamp Le Pliage in assorted colours for holidays , cinema etc .

PetitsGateaux · 18/06/2020 17:47

I love Nat & Nin, a French brand, and have picked up one in the sales for the past few years!

Imonlymoominafterall · 18/06/2020 17:58

Acne Studios musubi bags at the moment. I like the Mulberry Amberley too.

missl1 · 18/06/2020 18:02

Not everyone's cup of tea but I absolutely love the STAUD Moon Bags.

EraOfTheGrey · 18/06/2020 18:59

I have 3 long champ leather cuir bags that I love. I'm not keen on my Mulberry as I find it too heavy, it was a gift so I love it for that reason. My favourite bag at the moment is from Kate Sheridan who is a British designer.

Rebelwithallthecause · 18/06/2020 19:12

I’ve not heard of kate Sheridan, her bits look lovely and understated

Any love for Aspinal or is it a bit old fashioned?
Or maybe Osprey London

I love many Chanel styles.
Sadly I only have one small one as I can't justify spending so much on a bag.

HotSince82 · 18/06/2020 22:30

I like Russell and Bromley and they are the best I can reasonably afford.

I have a Chloe Betty bag which I love, the leather is gorgeously soft and slouchy. I'd buy another Chloe were they not so expensive.

Coccinelle and Paul Costelloe are good quality and you can pick them up for reasonable prices.

Oly4 · 18/06/2020 22:34

Coach and Russell and Bromley. Both in my price range and both lovely

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 18/06/2020 22:36

I don't belong on this thread. I have a Fjallraven Kanken tote bag and love it.

im5050 · 18/06/2020 23:07

I have a mulberry Oak Bayswater which I never use to heavy and awkward.
God knows how many Longchamp Le Pilage bags

But my favourite which I’ve only just discovered is Mia Tui Eleanor
Perfect size. Lots of compartments for everything I need and lots of lovely colours
Ive also just got a Mia Tui Jenny which is bigger and will make a great travel bag
I can see myself buying a few of the Eleanor bags in different colours

ZaraW · 19/06/2020 03:56

Issey Miyake Bao Bao and Philip Lim tote.

cottonandcalico · 19/06/2020 05:00

I have the mini mount street (I think?) backpack from Aspinal and I love it. It was a gift and they weren't really on my radar before. I do think most of their stuff is quite old fashioned and dull in general though.

😂 I think they are better bags too! Did coach make a comeback for real? I know my teenage daughter loves coach, but I thought it was in that sardonic ‘cool-granny’ way.
AnaViaSalamanca · 19/06/2020 09:36

Prada is great and most long lasting but not the greatest design wise.

Apart from that I like Launer, delvaux, and some old celine bags

BillyAndTheSillies · 19/06/2020 09:53

I swear by my Longchamp pliage or Louis Vuitton Neverfull. I'm definitely a chuck it all in kind of person.

Always have a soft spot for Chanel, but won't buy any new ones any more. Mainly because I'm usually scared of damaging the ones I've got but also because of the insane price rises recently.

achillesratty · 19/06/2020 10:12

I like Russell and Bromley. I cleared out my expensive bag collection last year and sold it nearly all as I rarely used them. I kept a Gucci, Dior and a YSL but the rest were sold.

I also use cheap Kipling bags as they are lightweight and water resistant so much more suited to my lifestyle now.

mizu · 20/06/2020 11:40

Kate Sheridan - got one from her that was sold in TOAST (although I got it from eBay Grin) beautiful deep burgundy colour.

Torvi · 20/06/2020 11:46

I used to love Mulberry but not so much in recent years. I adore Coach at the moment and Ralph Lauren. I'm also lusting after the midi Venice from Demellier.

onwheels · 20/06/2020 12:29

I own many mulberry styles including recent ones, longchamp Neo le pliage and a ysl shopping leather tote.

i do like the bling/show pieces, they just dont fit my lifestyle.

Brands that I dont own but would love to when i have my own income again are Aspinal, APC and Mansur Gavriel.

Understated is my style

LadyEloise · 20/06/2020 12:30

LV Neverfull ( I wish it wasn't a pickpockets dream).
As I said upthread Chanel but failing that the Kurt Geiger Kensington is lovely.

If I had saved all the money I spent on Chanel lookalikes ( not counterfeit ) I'd be able to buy a Chanel now.
Shock

TheCanterburyWhales · 20/06/2020 12:48

Some of the Coach pebbled leather (Edie, Sutton) are fab.
Others have "my eyes my eyes" patterns.
Big sale at the mo'.
Wondering if I need a Sutton oxblood...

PersonaNonGarter · 20/06/2020 13:01

Ally Capellino leather bags. Truly gorgeous and thought through and just Cool Classy Amazingness.

2020 is not really the year for AC tho. It is all just really expensive canvas or meh meh colours so far.
