Found a colour that suits me... how to find tops in this shade/hue?

So today I found a t shirt left by a ex at mine 3 years ago and put it in because I needed to answer the door. I then went straight into a meeting in the t shirt and three people told me I looked great. I know it's the t shirt colour... it just transforms how I look. So how do I find tops in this colour from the vast array of shops/online stores etc?

The colour is a kind of deepish Sky blue, it sets my hair off really well (deep auburn) and I just need more (2/3) tops in this colour but how to search online for tops by Pantone? (I have not yet got it down to a Pantone but I will tomorrow...)

Honestly, it transformed my look on zoom meetings and I need more T-shirts/ shirts/ tops in this shade.

Any ideas?

Try Kettlewellcolours.co.uk.

eviledna you might just have hit my nail! Fab, I'm off to search for sky blue :)

So the colour is kind of campanula but more of a sky blue hue than
Purple. So far I've found a lovely top but it's polyester, and polyester makes my pits stink within minutes :( (it's a thing with polyester not my armpits apparently)?

Can you take and upload a pic?

MulberryPeony · 17/06/2020 06:57

Upload to google image search or eBay image search and see what comes up.

Elouera · 17/06/2020 07:00

When using the search option on shop websites, surely you just click 'blue' and scroll through the blues they have Confused

Match it up with those paint colour strips in DIY stores and take that shopping ?!

I think I know the colour you mean. Comptoir des Cotonniers has a lot of it this season. They are calling it 'persian jewel'.

www.comptoirdescotonniers.co.uk/search?q=persian%20jewel

Expensive but their sale is due to start end of this month.

Mxflamingnoravera · 17/06/2020 09:14

@missl1 yes! That is the colour! Spot on.
Thanks everyone, I'll keep searching and get yesterday's shirt washed to wear again tomorrow :)

@Standrewsschool thanks so much, these are too pale and too much turquoise rather than campanula. But much appreciated that you had a look for me! The tie dye colour is right but too casual for work, for play, it's fab.

It's a gorgeous colour op and suits me well too, I'm quite pale with mousy highlighted hair.

I have a Man City shirt that's just that shade, would that do for work?

Found a colour that suits me... how to find tops in this shade/hue?

@Mxflamingnoravera great! It's a gorgeous colour. I've been waiting patiently for the CdC sale for ages... I'm ready to pounce. They only do two sales per year.

Op, you’re probably a summer in terms of seasonal colour analysis. Look up the other colours in the summer palette (cool, light, muted) and see what you think.

Also other shops that do these sorts of colours would be Reiss, & other stories... or google periwinkle blue or cornflower blue.

I’ve had another hunt.

Zara have a gorgeous dress in that colour in the sale at the moment... https://m.zara.com/uk/en/voluminous-rustic-dress-p04886088.html

Wow! What a fantastic bunch you are. I love you all. I have ordered the Mango shirt (no 2) and the ted baker top from your list standrewsschool.

What a fab end to a crap day :) New clothes for my new job :)

Love that Zara dress, although the v-neck neckline wouldn’t suit me (is it me or are the ones of the model sitting on the piano a little awkward and ungainly, not very elegant - pictures 3 and 4)

Must admit, almost ordered the Ted Baker top for myself almost.

Mxflamingnoravera · 17/06/2020 18:59

@standrewsschool love "almost" :)

I’m sure the STV weather lady was just wearing a short sleeve knitted jumper in a similar colour to this. Not sure how you’d find it though!

BabyAlexander · 17/06/2020 19:39

M&S did a blue and white striped shirt in that colour last summer. You might be lucky and find one on ebay.

Mxflamingnoravera · 17/06/2020 19:47

The mango shirt look is my look. I live in jeans and cowboy boots. I don't wear dresses (for some reason I always feel vulnerable in a dress). For work I wear cigarette trousers and shirts or nice T shirts (the Ted Baker is perfect). So hopefully by Saturday I will have an array of cornflower blue tops. In the past I was known as "white T shirt Mxflamingnora" now I am in danger of becoming "cornflower blue Mxflamingnora" but hey! I am willing to take that risk :)
