I’ve a very short waist. High leg jeans do you under my tits

I’d like some straight leg jeans. Not high waist.

Am I asking the impossible?

I have bought from them a few times, I haven't bought those particular jeans before but have bought tops etc x

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 16/06/2020 16:29

Next relaxed skinnies.

Ginfordinner · 16/06/2020 18:29

I find a lot of Gap jeans are too low in the waist for me. Their mid rise are low rise on me.

TomNook · 16/06/2020 20:39

I did love gap

I've been wearing my old ultra-low rise jeans since lockdown started. I'd forgotten how comfortable they were.

I'm glad I kept them.

TableNiner · 16/06/2020 22:28

Esprit?

Not low enough for me so I returned them but definitely lower than average. Labelled skinny but more slim/straight.

Also a pair labelled straight, which I would say are more girlfriend. I kept these as they are lower rise. I like ultra low rise but rare to find.

I find high rise really uncomfortable when l sit down. It’s a while since l’ve bought jeans (not that l’ve bought much of late!), but l have some low or mid rise from Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge and Debenhams.

StarlightLady · 17/06/2020 06:11

PS: So are we all in a low rise bubble?

HelpMeh · 17/06/2020 06:51

Does your bum not hang out of low rise jeans when you sit down? I only buy high waist, not because I love them, but because everything else seems to give me builders bum Blush

What am I doing wrong?

TomNook · 17/06/2020 07:49

It depends on your build. I’ve got a short “waist” ie the rise from crotch to waist isn’t long. I’ve got long legs instead 🤷🏻‍♀️

So low waist don’t expose anything. High waist seriously end under my bra and feel like a big nappy

I’m sort of with you I have a sweet spot about about an inch below my belly button in terms of rise any higher and they’re on my waist cutting me in half when I sit down, I’m hourglass if that makes a difference

I decided that it meant mid rise only , but since then I’ve realised that rise is as inconsistent as anything else in terms of size so I’ve started ordered high rise and mid rise as they’re often the same

Jeans are just a minefield I though I’d solved it with mid rise Arket regular stretch cropped in blue but then I bought the same in black and indigo and the waists are too big

My latest is 501 cropped I read the reviews and sized down and I love them, now these are called high rise but the rise is the same as the Arket ones

Might try to get the 501 in indigo and black at some point but I stupidly kept the Arket ones so feel guilty buying more

I'm another who dislikes high waisted jeans .... but also hate buying any jeans so stick with Sainsbury's ones that fit so well.

Beachlovingirl · 17/06/2020 08:26

High waisted jeans are also not good for me with long legs and a short body. I have some Levi premium high waisted skinny jeans that I wear occasionally but they are not the most flattering.

I’ve recently gone back to low rise.
I have 2 pairs of the salsa Collette jeans which are great and also good for work with blouses, when the office opens.
1 pair of Levi 710s - very nice dark blue. Great for work or being on the floor with a toddler!
1 pair of all saints grace jeans.

I’ve also ordered some tapered jeans from the mint velvet sale to see if the wider leg balances out the high waisted-ness. Not received them yet so jury is still out.

Does anyone find that skirt and top combinations also look a bit rubbish for the short bodies amongst us? I have to stick to dresses dispute loving all the satiny midi skirts and velvet cami vest combinations Confused

DJTanner · 17/06/2020 08:34

I'm short in the waist too and find that any of Tesco's jeans labelled mid rise fit and flatter my body really well.

HoHoHolyCow · 17/06/2020 08:40

I am short waisted with long legs.

I buy Diesel jeans, either from eBay or TKMaxx. LabDip are also a good fit on me, although on the shorter side (I'm 5ft 6 ish).
I have one pair from H&M that are described as mid rise and just hit my belly button, which is acceptable!

High waisted jeans sit right up under my boobs. I hate them!!

PhoneLock · 17/06/2020 08:48

Does your bum not hang out of low rise jeans when you sit down?

I think it depends on the cut. I wear ultra low-rise but it is only the front that is very low and the waistline rises at the back, although not to full high-rise adult nappy extents.

TomNook · 17/06/2020 09:06

Oh I like a skirt and top because big tits to confuse everything 😬

HoHoHolyCow · 17/06/2020 09:43

I can't do skirts and tops! The skirts sit far too high up.

I wear my skirts low rise too.

CatherineTheNotSoGreat · 17/06/2020 10:07

I'm possibly not the same as you shape-wise but I hate something cutting me in the middle. Have you tried Topshop raw hem straight jeans? They're really good. About belly button raise on me. If you want to get technical I'll measure the rise of the jean later.

On offer atm. The washed black is great. And the ecru. And they do a lighter blue (?bleach blue) that I don't see on that link. Love that too.

Skyliner001 · 17/06/2020 10:09

Absolutely hate them!! And they never fit. My waist is 25/6 and my butt is big so they gape, it's a nightmare. Love a low rise!! Smile

HoHoHolyCow · 17/06/2020 10:09

@PhoneLock do you not find that low rise skirts ride up to sit above your hips? I can never get them to stay in place!

PhoneLock · 17/06/2020 10:34

No, I've never had a problem. I tend to wear very long or very short though and nothing in between.

I think the long ones have the weight to stay down. I prefer a looser cut too which probably helps.
