Tiny number of very noticeable greys in dark hair what to do?

I am 43 so I think I’ve got away with very few if any greys way longer than I probably should have!

But they are popping up now and though they are very few they stand out very noticeably against mid-brown hair. Plus they are attractively wiry and wavy whjch makes them even more noticeable

They’re too few to bother changing large chunks of my hair colour and on the two occasions I’ve gone for a semi permanent gloss in the past I have ended up going brassy after time and hating it SO MUCH. I like my natural colour.

Is there any product I can buy that may blend them a bit for now without changing the rest of my colour?

Have you tried the Color Wow palette? It’s like an eyeshadow for roots that you apply with a little brush. Easy to use and fab on dark hair.

Do you really hate them? I have just turned 30 and I have a few grey hairs like the ones you describe, that stand out against my brown hair. I think all my friends that turned 30 this year have the same, and none of us our dyeing it.

Maybe it's just me but I really thought that the natural look is more on trend these days than the constant covering up. I say embrace it, we don't have to look like we are 20 forever. Looking your age doesn't mean looking unattractive

I'm interested to know too. I'm the same age as you, mixed race with brown/ black hair. Recently started finding a few white/grey hairs. Much as I like the look on other women, mine seem particularly wiry and, well, pube-y! My hair is so thick I can get away with just pulling them out for now, but I'm aware it's not a sustainable solution. Watching with interest!

Forgot to say - I tried a powder palette (Batiste I think) but my hairs are white all the way down, or at least halfway, so not just the roots.

I pull them out but my hair is wavy and fairly short so they don't stick out too much when they start growing back. It would be a different story with straight or long hair though. It's a hard habit to break though, I keep thinking I should stop.

I use mascara for now. The long term aim would be some kind of hair dye that I’m not allergic too

Similar hair. Brown hair with bright white greys. I quite like it, but sometimes I use a mid-pink semipermanent dye for a change.

It isn’t strong enough to turn the hair pink (even the greys), but it does soften the contrast between the light and the dark, like using a rose or sepia filter on a photo.

La Riche Direction in Carnation pink works for me. It looks a scary colour in the tub/in display photos, so do a patch test, but I find it just adds a wash of colour if I leave it for c.30 minutes. I think it probably only goes a bright colour on bleached hair.

You can buy good spray on colours. L'Oréal one is good for in between dyes. Personally I have very dark hair and I dye my roots every month. My hair grows very quickly though. I hate greys. It ages me and makes me feel horrible. I'm mid 30's.

Yes mine are pube-y!!! That’s exactly the word!! Long white pubes! Why is this??! Glad I’m not the only one but they do look blooming awful. It’s not the greying factor I’m worried about so much as the head-full-of-long-silver-white pubes, eventually!

Mine are like a pp said white all the way along so maybe a root touch-up thing won’t do the trick after all...?
