Working from home for the forseeable future. I want to be comfy and am finding my skinny jeans less so as the weeks go by!
I also want to look and feel relatively nice as I’ve become a bit of a slob and I think it’s not helping my mental frame of mind.

I have some decent leggings but nothing to wear with them.

Any suggestions please for what to wear and where to buy online?

I usually wear jeans so not helpful!
In the warmer weather I was wearing Hush cropped trousers with vest tops.
I like the one hundred starts kimonos, they both look and feel nice.
I like a midi dress for comfort. The famous Zara spotty one from last year feels like a nightie which I consider a good thing.

I wear dresses. Uniqlo have some really nice and comfortable ones that I stick on in the mornings. I have got some earrings/necklaces in a box on my desk so I’ll stick them on for zoom calls.
I love dresses as it’s just one item of clothing and that’s it. Outfit done!

Lndnmummy · 08/06/2020 13:43

If you have leggings already you could get some nice loose linen shirts to wear with them. Uniqlo again or Gap do some nice ones. I love them but struggle for time to iron at the moment so sticking to dresses as it’s easier

Parky04 · 08/06/2020 13:49

Pj's might get dressed about 2!

Mintjulia · 08/06/2020 13:50

Today, calf length linen skirt, cotton vest & fisherman’s sweater, bare feet. Smile

I've worked from home for 12 years now. I do my hair and makeup every morning and wear things like leggings and a dress...linen and no leggings in summer though.

I always go out at lunchtime to a coffee shop (got 5 on my street!) and have my "lunch break" which is important as I get to talk to people!

FortunesFave · 08/06/2020 14:03

Oh God me too! I have a selection of biggish ones!

Fortyfifty · 08/06/2020 14:24

I'm wearing the Uniqlo drapey joggers in black with a plain top and cardigan today. They're a good comfortable smart casual option - not really joggers at all. I can't work in jeans. I can't get into the right frame of mind nor feel comfortable.

Littlemiss74 · 08/06/2020 14:26

Thank you all. I’ve never bought anything from Uniqlo, I will have a look now

Absurdly expensive (for me at least!) despite buying in the Black Friday sale but OMFG Sweaty Betty yoga pants are amazing. I'm sure there are other brands half the price that are great but these are my first foray into loose yoga pants and I bloody love them and don't feel vile in them

dudsville · 08/06/2020 15:31

I live in wide leg or otherwise baggier style trousers (barrel, tapered, etc) trousers. I have a wide range of comfy tops and cardigans. LIke the pp, I also have a series of scarves that I can pop on for meetings.

WellTidy · 08/06/2020 15:44

I am enjoying oversized shirts at the moment. Sometimes with a base layer underneath for warmth.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/06/2020 17:16

Today I'm wearing a Boden jersey dress, with a black zip up cropped hoodie over it.

Jeans-wise, I tend to go for straight leg Levis, rolled up.

If I wear leggings, I wear a t-shirt and a long cardigan over them.

I do find generally though that jersey or viscose midi dresses are more comfortable than leggings or jeans, and are fine with trainers for going for a walk.

DelphiniumBlue · 08/06/2020 17:27

Leggings and a Bam Serenity hoody for spring and cooler summer days. If it's warmer, shorter leggings and a long loose t-shirt , or a sleeveless dress so I can be nipping out into the garden and topping up my tan!

DarlingCoffee · 08/06/2020 19:05

Hush joggers and I really like the plain 100% cotton tee shirts from New Look’s Kind range. Paired with earrings and a necklace.

BigusBumus · 08/06/2020 19:16

These Saint & Sofia Runway pants, in black with a leopard stripe down the side. They have a wide pull on top bit like yoga pants.

I have jersey wide leg cropped trousers from Uniqlo, or balloon trousers from Kin at John Lewis (size down they are huge), which I love and have in 4 colours now. Sometimes a skirt with an elastic waist if I'm bored with trousers. Then a simple long- or short-sleeve t-shirt and either earrings or necklace, I tend to go fairly large with jewellery. Today it's off-white trousers (not going on the tube has its upsides!), Cos black jersey top and a v old multi strand beaded necklace. Tomorrow wide-neck cotton top (Cos again), khakis and chunky hoop earrings. I don't have to dress up for work even in the office but like to keep work and off-duty clothes separate.

Littlemiss74 · 08/06/2020 20:24

I’ve had a look at uniqlo but I think the dresses might swamp me a bit, I’m 5’3” size 12 and fairly curvy.

What are the best tops for leggings? I have a few tshirts but they are too short and tight as I’ve put on a few pounds. I could do with some longer length tshirts I think but something a bit more interesting that won’t make me look completely shapeless.

I know clothes are not important at the moment but I am feeling a bit low and thought if I could treat myself to a few nice new things it might perk me up a bit.

Wide leg trousers and a soft t shirt with a nice necklace.

Youngatheart00 · 08/06/2020 20:27

I’ve not worn jeans since the lockdown began! Agree with others who are saying good quality leggings, yoga pants, jersey dresses. A spritz of perfume, mascara and some earrings help me feel more put together, but comfort is key!

travailtotravel · 08/06/2020 20:33

I've had to ho bac, to Jean's to try and give me some discipline about my put of control eating.

BangingOn · 08/06/2020 20:41

Another recommendation for the Saint + Sofia runway pants, I have two pairs and love them with their 3/4 sleeve v neck tops.

lockdownalli · 08/06/2020 20:54

Silk Pyjamas Grin

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 08/06/2020 21:50

I’m wearing jeans (Whistles barrel legs, 501s, Levi’s balloon legs) with t-shirts, cardigan, trainers. Sometimes dungarees. Always a dress on a Friday, usually a midi length.

I like t-shirts with prints on them, from places like Joanie, Other Stories, and Topshop. Dress-wise I have quite a few from Warehouse, a bit smock-y, and Oliver Bonas. And cardis from Stories again, Arket, Warehouse.

I don’t want to wear my actual work clothes, so aim for “Saturday lunch with friends” type of vibe.

MinesaPinot · 09/06/2020 11:48

Wide leg trousers with a nice top or t-shirt, dress or long tunic with leggings - nothing structured or tight round the waist. Jewellery, light make-up and perfume always. Was chilly yesterday though so had comfy dark indigo skinnies and my Foo Fighters t-shirt with a hoodie jacket over the top - hoodie is black with a black diamante stripe down each arm so a bit of bling for our team meeting!
