Longline t-shirts/tops for wearing with leggings

I need something bum covering, I’ve got lots of longline vests which are great but I feel too exposed just wearing a vest and leggings - too close fitting - so I wear a sweatshirt or cardigan over and it’s too hot for that. Any ideas where I can get longline but not tent like tops?

Don’t do it. Unless you’re pregnant. You’ll just pile on weight and look like you’re in pyjamas

Yours clothing has lots of longline tops, but the smallest size they do is a 16. Not sure if that helps?

StillThatBitch · 05/06/2020 08:44

Search ASOS for t-shirt dresses, I had some nice ones from there a while ago to wear with jeggings. Or maybe one of those long light kimono type cardigans to team with your vests?

I have this one, it's longer than on the model in real life. I'm 5'6'' and it's wearable with leggings. www.esprit.co.uk/p/slub-top-with-high-low-hem--100--cotton-030CC1K335_001.html

@TomNook haha that's a very good point - slippery slope but they're just so damn comfy

Thanks, I'll have a look at ASOS, Yours and Esprit

My jegging years were dark times mate

Uniqlo has some, as does H&M

This is why I’ve been teetering on the brink of the longline top/leggings look for weeks but can’t quite bring myself to take the plunge... So damn comfortable but I fear it’s a slippery slope! It’s about the only thing I miss about pregnancy FatFace tunics ftw

Xx
I just remember I got fat!!

Exactly.

Don't do it OP.

What size/shape are you? I am sure we can come up with a better look for you than leggings and a long top. Life is tragic enough!

TomNook · 07/06/2020 09:39

you might as well just get ready for your takeabreak front page with your fat jeans

Foreverme82 · 07/06/2020 11:31

Yours clothing have some nice things - I sometimes buy their size 16 tops even though they are too big because they work as 'baggy' tops for me :)

imarocketman50 · 07/06/2020 11:39

I'm in leggings and long t-shirts/dresses as I'm working from home and losing weight (12 stone so far) so I'm just sticking to a basic comfy wardrobe. I'm dropping clothes sizes every couple of months so I see no point in wasting money and buying clothes and I'm not really leaving the house so no-one sees me.

I still feel good as I'm now wearing some of my mums hand me downs and I've always been a lot bigger than her so we've never been able to do this.

Once I'm back in the office (if I ever am) I'll get clothes for the size I am then.

ClientQ · 07/06/2020 11:57

I don't think it's a slippery slope if you're WFH and it's comfy. I'm sat down for nearly 9hrs and I don't find jeans comfortable for that long
So I wear leggings or harems, long tops with leggings even though I'm not going anywhere as I'm conditioned to wear them!

CMOTDibbler · 07/06/2020 12:01

I have the Serenity top and it looks nice with leggings - slim, but not exposed

AGoodYearfortheRoses · 07/06/2020 18:36

I’m a size 16ish hourglass but lockdown means I’m rather more —pregnant looking— curvy than I’d rather be. I look ok in jeans but it’s the comfort thing more than anything with leggings.
