I definitely recommend Zara jeans Lou. Some of my favourite jeans are from there.
I have a horrible feeling that I'll never fit my huge, pregnancy hips back into them again

The lengths seem to vary. I've had some from there that are 36" and some which seem more like 34" or 35".

They've got quite a big range of styles so it's worth having a look. Otherwise my only suggestion is Topshop 'Tall' range (which you can get online). Apparently Long Tall Sally do 36" jeans too but I haven't tried them.

lou33 · 22/09/2007 23:13

she has top shop jeans, i would have got her some today but they didnt have the style she wanted

doesnt seem to be a zara near me tho (guildford), sadly

long tall sally are i think too expensive for a 15 yr old arent they? will check website

lou33 · 22/09/2007 23:15

oh, £45, that's not much more than top shop

lou33 · 22/09/2007 23:16

ooh and they have one in guildford!!!!

i didnt see it, must be down one of the little lanes

maisym · 22/09/2007 23:16

wear them with high heels!

I find the sizes really small though.

lou33 · 22/09/2007 23:27

if dd1 wore high heels she would look like she was a stilt walker, being 5ft 11 already

missbumpy · 23/09/2007 10:52

I've heard that Dorothy Perkins jeans are really good and they have these Tall jeans in a 36" leg. I haven't tried them myself but they look ok and are cheaper than Topshop.

Also, check out the M&S website, they've just started a Tall range which I think is 36" leg and they've got some jeans for £20.

Sorry, us lanky legged people have hijacked this thread haven't we ?

lou33 · 23/09/2007 12:41

ooh dp are a good price

Malaleche · 23/09/2007 12:43

I read somewhere that spanish teenagers are the tallest in europe, which I find hard to believe and I live here, so i see hoards of them every day

missbumpy · 23/09/2007 12:47

I find that hard to believe too Malaleche! I've seen some tall Spanish teenage boys but the girls all seem to be quite petite (huge generalisation obviously but you know what I mean ).

puffling · 23/09/2007 12:50

Well I'm short, so where should I get my marvellous trousers from?

BeetrootBevan · 23/09/2007 12:54

agree they are long - odd

But I do buy loads in Zara - good fit on me mostly apart form the long stuff which I take up

SSSandy2 · 23/09/2007 12:56

I wander about Zara thinking, I'm sure I'll find something nice here, but I never do. There's always something wrong with everything I look at/ try on, except for one lovely dress I have from there.

Never tried the trousers but I have that problem generally, I'm 1,64 so the trouser legs are always too long for me. It annoys the heck out of me.

BeetrootBevan · 23/09/2007 13:02

great trousers I wear everyday - well alot

great long sleeve adn short sleeve tops, round neck loads of colours for a tenner. perfect under jackets or with jeans

cardigans are great

My fav dress - long maxi one is black is from there

loads of jackets form there

shoe - fabulous flat patent shoes this year

arfishy · 23/09/2007 13:12

When I lived in Milan I used to buy a lot of stuff from a shop whose name escapes me. Anyhoo, it turned out to be quite posh and expensive in the UK, but having digressed a bit, all the trousers it sold were very, very long and were sold that way so the clients could take them up for the perfect fit.

missbumpy · 23/09/2007 13:29

Ooh, good point Beetroot. I forgot that they do lovely shoes too!

I know the idea is they make mile-long legs so anyone can fit them if they're turned up but how annoying is it to try on a pair of trousers you need to fold up 5 x before you can see your feet?
