Can you help me find a summer casual dress like this?

I’m talking round the house level of casual, therefore really not spendy.

Several years ago I had a next jersey dress when it popped up on here as a ‘mumsnet recommends’ and it’s now falling to pieces and the neighbours must think I don’t own another summer dress. The photo is an eBay listing I missed out on of the same dress in a different print. Basically it needs to be:

Sleeveless but not spaghetti strap
Knee length
Loose but not like a tent
Jersey or cotton
Pattern or plain doesn’t matter but nothing bonkers
Neckline not too high
Pockets (the ones on my dress are huge slouch pockets and are fab for phone/clothes pegs/tissues/ and generally carrying rubbish about

I’ve searched a lot but nothing quite fits the bill. Has anyone got similar they can recommend, or link please? Seems like such a simple ask but I’ve seen looking way too long!!

Yes - there was a batik print version but it sold out last week in all sizes plus no pockets

Have you looked at Mantaray? Your picture looks like the sort of dresses they sell.

I like the fat face simone dresses. They're similar to yours but with short sleeves instead.

Have you looked at boden?? Full price and clearance?? They have great quality jersey dresses and almost always have pockets...here are a couple I found...

I’ve got a couple of Simone - they’re a bit shaped and as you say have sleeves. And on my short arms those sleeves are most of my upper arms - although I love them I’m looking for sleeveless and more beach/casual garden?

H&M have fab dresses at the moment

Mantaray don’t do many jersey numbers. Although I will look again. And I would certainly consider boden on a ‘deal’ so I’ll have a look there too!

H&M was the closest I’ve got - the midi crinkle number in a leaf pattern - but it’s strappy and no pockets. I’m probably being silly but I don’t really like my bra straps on show (particularly when the bra in question is less than pristine white!! )

Oh I had that dress and wore it to death too! Also had it in red/pink stripes.

I was also going to suggest Debenhams (includes Mantaray) - I have had no problems with orders or returns despite administration.

I am also looking at a couple of dresses on ebay from this seller "mad-discounts". High feedback and some very reasonable prices.

@MotheringShites I had it in giraffe print (loved it so much) and a coral spot. Why do they discontinue such popular products?

@yorkshireteaspoonie thank you! I’m going to order the geo print one! And I may also order the back one that @RNBrie linked as well. This was the nearest I could find but I suspect at this price it would be that special kind of jersey you could riddle peas through and would go massively out of shape. Your suggestions look more substantial!

could you have a look at making one yourself? on a fairly basic pattern it wouldn't be too hard?

Mantaray dresses shrink in the wash. I bought 2 of them. They came to the knee. I washed them as per instructions and they had shrunk in length so I no longer felt comfortable wearing them. Put me off of that range.

Next have several simple linen mix dresses in a variety of colours and patterns every year. I use the app so can’t forward a link.
