Curler wand thingies suggestions for short fine hair please.

Hi, I have short, fine, dead straight hair. I'm growing out a pixie cut, it's now to the bottom of my ears in a sort of bob, but still a few layers growing out. With still no access to a hairdresser it's starting to look very ratty and I feel all unkempt at work.
I need to go out tomorrow and buy some sort of electric curler to give it a few casual loose waves till I can get it trimmed and tidied up properly.
I was thinking of one of those chopstick curlers but looking for suggestions as to the best thing for the job? I don't normally use curling tongs so haven't a clue as to what to buy.
Photo attached is of the sort of look I'm going for, although my hair is a bit shorter than that. Any suggestions please?
I'm cackhanded and have only ever used straighteners so doubt I'd get on with any of those fancy curlers.

I just do mine with my GHDs

If your hair is short you need a thin wand - the thick ones don’t work on short hair.

I can sometimes do mine with ghd other times the wand depending on how I am feeling / if my hair is behaving

Dd 14 bought the Babyliss Titanium Brilliance Curling Tong from John Lewis yesterday, we picked it up from Waitrose today and now she has beautiful loose curls in her fine, collar bone length hair.
She tried unsuccessfully with straighteners many times before and says this was easy.
I will definitely have a go tomorrow.

Thank you for the replies, I'll have a look at the suggestions and maybe a couple of youtube tutorials so see how it's done Smile
