Out of stock. Is there a good dupe for this eyeshadow?

Wanted to buy Clinique Chubby Stick for eyes in the colour pink & pretty but it seems to be out of stock everywhere.

I've attached photos of swatches.
The first swatch is pink & plenty next to their fudge colour.

Does anyone know a good dupe for this?

I'm looking for:

• pale pink
• to use as a base across my lids
• blue based pink, not orange based
• if it's a pencil or chubby stick style that would be easier for application than powder but a powder would be ok.

TIA Smile

Take a look at either the Mac Paint Pots or Maybelline colour tattoos (similar but cheaper than MAC)
They’re creams, so I guess similar a similar texture to the chubby stocks, but a pot form

Thank you Smile

I love Mac shadows and their lipsticks for that matter, I've been thinking about getting one of their refillable palettes. I've never tried their paint pots. Was just looking at a suggested Mac dupe for this chubby stick and the colour I wanted is out of stock. Grr.

Maybelline are good too though I find that sometimes you need to build the colour to get greater intensity. I'll look at the colour tattoo range, I've never tried them.

The Revolution eye palettes are very good, but powder not cream

There is an ELF eyeshadow stick in a very similar pink that I absolutely love and wear all the time. You can buy it in Superdrug

I’ve not tried the Kiko sticks, but they might be ok? I really like their lipglosses and lipsticks inside pencils

Kiko eyeshadow sticks are very good. I have quite a few and use them everyday.

BabyDarlingDollfaceHoney · 17/05/2020 21:05

Yeah the Kiko sticks are great, I have a few of those ones on the third link and they are brilliant.

ThatShallot · 17/05/2020 23:32

The Kiko sticks look great, just the sort of thing.

Which is the Elf eyeshadow stick that looks like the Clinique colour videography?
The ones I can find only have orange or beige colours and I'd need a baby pink.

Anything yellow or orange toned makes me look like I'm ill. Which is a shame because some of the bronze colours around at the moment are beautiful.

The body shop used to do some lovely pinks. And Lidl! But I haven't seen the cien ones from Lidl for ages. Using a revolution pallet atm. Would deffo buy again!

ThatShallot · 18/05/2020 02:02

I've ordered some stuff from Kiko, so thank you for that.

I'm looking at Revolution now.
Lockdown has brought insomnia.

I'm not makeup artist actually I'm crap at it but I always look at an eyeshadow palette and go though the colours and there are always some I can't or wouldn't wear. It can be cheap or expensive, for example; in a quad there's always one I know I'll never use. Except maybe at Halloween.

That was just a musing btw, it's also the reason I'd like a Mac palette that I can fill with the singles I choose.

Is Body Shop makeup any good?

Our local Lidl is wiped out of lots of things atm.

It depends on what you use often. I’m far from an expert - I strive for ‘presentable’, not ‘’instagramable”. Revolution is good for the price, and for colours I might not use often, I’m happy to buy something more budget friendly. For colours I use often, I’m happy to pay extra. I find NYX singles and palettes good value, but I have had a few duds (anything palette that includes blushes has been bad, the 16 shades in a square have been good). Underwhelmed by Morphe.

My mid level is Zoeva. My splurge level is Anastasia (blends beautifully) and my defaults are browns and bronzes so I get good use of her palettes. Disappointed by Urban Decay (really poor level of colour on lids) and Too Faced (very sparkly, not always forgiving). I’ve not had the use out of my Huda palettes that I thought I would but again they blend well.

ThatShallot · 18/05/2020 13:18

The Huda palettes are beautiful to look at but I agree, there aren't many colours that I would use in any one palette.

The Too Faced nudes, not the Matte palette I've found to be flattering for my skin tone. I wouldn't go for any of their more adventurous shades.

Browns are good (on me) but again, they have to be blue/pink based brown, anything bronze, orange, green or yellow looks hideous on me. Yet DD wears those colours and looks stunning.

Lots of palettes have 'fashionable' colours, particularly brands like Huda, Urban Decay and Morphe, I can wear a bit of sparkle if I'm going out in the evening but during the day I just want flattering, matte colours.

Take a look at Smashbox. I’ve got this palette and also a longer one of nice browns and bronzes which I can’t find on their site. Theyre a reasonable price (there’s a three pack set)
www.smashbox.co.uk/product/6029/45663/eyes/eye-shadow/cover-shot-eye-shadow-palettes#/shade/Minimalist

They also used to make a nice cream eyeshadow but that seems to have gone.

Also, Inglot do nice single loose powder ‘pure pigment’ eyeshadows which are nice for blending
inglotuk.com/32-eyeshadows

(I try a lot in the hope I’ll find that magic product that takes me from presentable to brilliant)
