Can anyone recommend anything that won't me look like I'm pregnant when it falls straight down from my boobs with no other definition? I want something really easy to throw on with trainers or flip flops. I'm between a size 12/14

Have you tried those linen dresses from Next? £26 ish-think they have them in lots of different styles eg with sleeves now, but the bog standard basic sleeveless ones are good.

Thisismynewname123 · 16/05/2020 09:22

Do you mean these?

If so, no I haven't. Willing to give it a try, but I can imagine the fabric will pull over my boobs, so I'll end up sizing up, and then it will hang and make me look pregnant. I'll give it a try though!

Yes-that’s it. I find them good over my bust-I’m a 34FF.

Thisismynewname123 · 16/05/2020 09:27

Ok. Thanks. I'm a 32FF, so will give one a try

Have you tried popsy dresses? Very easy to wear.

Thisismynewname123 · 16/05/2020 09:38

I hadn't heard of Popsy dresses. Just having a look now...

I am 34F and got this one from Seasalt last summer.Wore it loads, still looks great. Quite pricey, but currently 20% off, and good quality fabric and stitching. It’s got a bit of shape to it, so prevents the pregnant look.

Ratonastick · 16/05/2020 10:07

34G here, I feel the pain!!! Seasalt have a summer jersey cotton shape thats fit really nicely and doesn’t look matronly. I have a few from the last couple of years and they seem to come back in different fabrics each year. This looks like one of this year’s versions:

EdwynCollins · 16/05/2020 10:10

I don't think tunics work on large breasts. I think you need a v neck or cross over with a waist
I've just bought a nice Joe Browns one but monsoon is my usual go to. I'll look for the Joe browns

Candyfloss99 · 16/05/2020 10:10

I'm the same and I put a belt on these dresses round the waist to stop the pregnancy look!

EdwynCollins · 16/05/2020 10:18

If you want a linen, tunic type this would work better that the high neck

I like the 'Simone' dresses from Fat Face. Comfortable and casual - look good with trainers and flip flops.

Thisismynewname123 · 16/05/2020 12:20

@BikeRunSki I like that one. I'm not seeing the 20% off that you mentioned. Do you have a promo code? I don't really want to spend so much on something I really just want for hanging around at home.

@Ratonastick and @EdwynCollins prints really don't work on me, unfortunately, although I'd wear that red button through one from Joe Browns, but they don't have most sizes in stock. I agree that shape should work though, although it's a bit less casual. I like the Boden one. I'll give that a try. I have a 20% off email for them.

@RomaineCalm I like the shape of the Simone dress, but again, the print won't work with me and they have a plain version.

Thanks for the suggestions

@Thisismynewname, sorry, I just looked back, the 20% is currently only for shoes. Keep an eye out though, they often ha e offers in different categories.

thethoughtfox · 16/05/2020 12:48

There are some lovely summer dresses in Bravissimo cut with extra room for your chest. You look instantly slimmer when you wear any of their clothes.

OhioOhioOhio · 16/05/2020 12:53

Yeah Bravissimo is good.

motherofgod2 · 16/05/2020 15:52

I'm the same size as you OP and those Next dresses didn't suit me at all they made me look big all over as hung from the bust. Same with Fat Face Simone. That Joe Browns dress would be perfect I might get that myself. You need something that goes in at the waist. I got this today from Sainsbury's and it's a great fit on me, very flattering. They have a few different prints and pattens I'm going to get more

I have a large bust and I hate the tunic type dresses, they make me look frumpy like a sack of potatoes. I prefer wrap around dresses or something thats fitted on the top and flares out a bit at the waist. I don't have any specific product recommendations but I'd try looking for something that accentuates the hourglass shape

Banaltra · 16/05/2020 21:45

@Thisismynewname123 I'm a 32ff and have one of those next dresses, absolutely amazing on. Got it in size 8. The 10 was huge.

Knittingnanny · 16/05/2020 22:14

I’ve got a few dresses , all the same style, from weird fish. I’m a 12 but big busted. They are stretchy cotton and skim the body well. I think the design is called something like Tallihesee dress. Not sure that’s the right spelling!
Also sea salt , think the style is called river cove. Very generous around the bust

Campervan69 · 16/05/2020 22:39

I've just ordered this in 2 different colours from Dorothy Perkins
