I've ordered some so can't comment on comfort yet. Where does it call them slippers? Can't see that on the website?

JessicaDay · 13/05/2020 20:33

I bought a pair last year and they’re not comfortable. Look great but hurt feet.

Suzie6789 · 13/05/2020 20:45

Where do they hurt you JessicaDay? I was thinking of buying some.

JessicaDay · 13/05/2020 23:56

Firstly, they hurt across the top of the foot (red marks).

The main thing is that they also just make my feet generally sore/fatigued, like I’ve been on my feet for a lot longer than I actually have. I think this is because they have a smooth leather insole rather than the suede I’m used to with Birkenstocks, it’s much harder and the single strap style means they slap back against the foot quite a lot.

You have to be quite careful walking in them in case they fly off, and grip them with your toes.

All in, they’re quite hard work! Bit like wearing heels.

I've only ever had one pair of madrids. They were horrible, like wearing flipflops

scatteredglitter · 14/05/2020 06:54

Decision made then thanks ! Not getting them
That confirms exactly what i was concerned about,

I just got mine 2-3 weeks ago. They kind of bruised the top of my foot the first few wears where they were stiff but they stayed on nicely. No flapping or slipping off. They are now much comfier to potter around in but I haven't worn them on my walks out.

LunaTheCat · 14/05/2020 08:35

I got a pair suede Arizona’s ( 2 strap). Soft footbed . Narrow fit but that is fine as suede more giving. I am a big birkies fan and my suede. Ones are the best ever!

Thighmageddon · 14/05/2020 14:19

I've got some and they just aren't worn.

It's not a straight strap across the front, there's a semicircle of leather that goes over the smaller toes to accommodate the big buckle, that extra bit of strap ripped my toes to shreds and I had to walk home suppressing my sobs.
