So I am banning myself from jeans. I do not suit casual, weird but true, i look as though I borrowed someone elses clothes. Smart casual is what I am aiming for.

I am 5'8" currently a 16 but am going down I am aiming for a 12/14. I am a deep winter .

I have chunky thighs a defined waist and big norks. Well supported ones though 34f.

I am considering black crop short things maybe with coloured tights and ballet slippers . Tell me if is is Not a Good Idea please!.

Currently I have very little but do possess falttering wide leg dark denim trews with a turn up. Decent black trousers lots of coloured vests and a v flattering black bell sleeved cardie with a scooop neck and three buttons then open iyswim.

I don't want to spend a lot as I intend to be smaller soon.

Suggestions please!

ProjectIcarusinhercar · 19/09/2007 13:26

ok great see you there
im sorry i cant come in earlier

Pannacotta · 19/09/2007 14:18

Sorry to interrupt ladies but going back to teh boots issue, I look good is similar colours to OP and I think that really dark choc brown suede boots are the most versatile, not black. I have two pairs and they go with plum, purple, red, brown, grey, navy, in fact most colours.
As for colour, why not wear dark trousers and skirts and a colour vest with a dark cardi on top, very flattering as the colour gives your face a lift, but not too OTT.
HTH and happy shopping......
