Vegan/non-leather shoes/bags that don't look cheap

Been really inspired by one of the other threads on here about the poster creating a capsule wardrobe and being really organised and making a spreadsheet etc. I've wanted to do this for ages- buy quality over quantity/ look stylishly put together etc. I think I can probably manage clothes but am really struggling with footwear and bags that are vegan but look well made. I feel like shoes always let my look down. Any ideas? I so want to look like those slim, stylish women I see everywhere!Smile

I have a few brands to suggest!

For shoes:
Wills Vegan shoes, very comfortable and well made. Tend to be more on the simple/classic side - I have brogues and worker boots from this brand. My boots are maybe 5 years old and still look good as new. They also sell some bags (satchels and classic styles) and belts.

Beyond Skin. More fashionable/interesting styles. Although I’ve found the quality not as good as you’d expect for the price - I’d only recommend getting something on sale. They do have good sales though.

I also like Bhava, I have one pair of boots from them. They don’t have loads of styles but some simple classics.

For bags my favourite brand is Angela Roi. You can get them in the UK from Naturismo although they don’t do the full range.

I also really like Wilby Clutch (cork bags in bright colours) and La Bante. Both are good quality and last well.

Also some non-vegan brands have vegan options, I have a vegan pair of DMs and a vegan pair of Vejas.

Actually, a good place to start is Immaculate Vegan which is a marketplace so would give you a good intro to lots of different brands.

Thanks, Swiftier. This is really helpful. I'll take a look now 🙂

Matt and Nat - lovely bags and shoes. Can buy from their own website or Asos.
Blowfish Malibu - shoes.
Marks and Spencer also has vegan shoes, and Sainsbury’s. Surprising good quality.
I’ve got a really nice vegan bag from Mango.

I wear some Sketchers Lace Ups at work (though they are functional not pretty)

I buy shoes/boots at M&S , their vegan footwear suits my narrow feet and ethics .

Bags - I dont buy a lot , mine are mainly Kipling ( have to double check these , they are using leather trims on some ) I like a bag I can throw about , put in the wash, lots of pockets and a keyfob. I looked at MaiTui , I;ve got two small bags but not the bigger ones , The white stitching on a dark bag is a "No" for me .

I wouldn't personally buy a faux leather coat . I had a faux shearling one years ago, it was ok but not something I'd buy now . I don't want to wear The Real Thing ( leather ,suede, sheepskin, fur, silk) and I don't want to wear it's dupe really .

So yes , shoes in Vegan and anything else in fabric suits me .

Nanushka is well known for their high vegan leather. It looks fabulous and very high end. You will, however, pay relatively high end prices for it.

I have shoes/sandals, bags and some dresses and coats in Nanushka vegan leather and I always gets lots of compliments.

At the opposite end of the scale, I've had quite a few faux leather clothes from Asos Design and they've actually been really good.

@70isaLimitNotaTarget Dauntless do lovely vegan leather jackets! And Nanushka too, I tried on a vegan leather puffer from them last year and it was gorgeous.

There are also some lovely faux fur coats from places like House of Fluff NYC, Jakke and Shrimps.

Thanks, everyone. I'd not heard of some of these. Maybe there is hope after all! Now I just need to get planning (and perhaps lose 2 stone Hmm)!
