Please can you give me your cleanser recommendations that removes make up for blemish prone, combination skin? I use to use wipes to remove my make up but was told they are bad for your skin so stopped using them. I’m currently using a sample of Clinique take the day off balm but I can’t decide whether it’s for me or not.

Does anyone know if oil cleansers for removing make up are good or not for blemish prone skin? A lot of my products have to be oil free but I read somewhere that oil cleansers are supposed to be ok for my type of skin but I’m not sure?

I like oil cleansers on my skin, I've combination rosacea prone skin.

I like the TTDO balm by Clinique (NOT the oil, that was horrible!) and am enjoying Glossier milky jelly wash. Probably no good if you use waterproof mascara or a lot of eye make up.

B by Superdrug do a great oil micellar water. I dislike using cotton wool on my face and don't like micellar water as it feels drying. The oil one is great because I can massage it all over then rinse / use a second cleanse and I'm done.

I have only ever used pears soap and warm water to wash my face for about 60 years. and just a basic Boots eye make up remover. I sometimes use the St IVES Apricot face scrub for a nice fresh faced look. I usually put a smear of Vaseline on my face cheek area for over night. I am 70 plus, and have smooth skin and no wrinkles to speak of.

I absolutely love l’occitane oil cleanser. So gentle, easily removes makeup and leaves my skin soft.
