Where to buy Lumea at discounted price?

I've been looking at the Lumea advance and it sounds like something that would suit my skin and is so much cheaper than laser removal. Trouble is, phew it's pricey. I can't really afford £250 currently so I was wondering if any of you had picked it up in any sale anywhere? Black Friday? Boxing Day sales for example? Am eligible for nhs discounts if anyone picked one up from a store with that too. Not looking to buy it right away but any advice would be much appreciated.

Also to those of you that have invested in it, has it been worth the money? And is the prestige worth the extra money?

I got my Prestige in the BF sales. It’s definitely been worth it for me.

I got a lumea from.argos in the sale (it also came with a free gift of a ladyshave). I think you just need to keep an eye out and pounce if you see it reduced!

Ps I didn't get a prestige. I can't remember which model I've got but it's definitely been worth it. I've barely used it over the past few months (lazy) and have very sparse leg hair that stays away for ages after I shave it. Previously I only ever waxed - shaving was pointless as by the next morning I'd have thick stubble all over my legs.

Bikini line is a different story but I had more success with it last summer - I haven't used it enough this year.

Forgot to say I got mine from amazon.

Have you looked on Phillips website direct..they are reduced on there

Can anyone tell me what’s the difference between the prestige and the advanced and the 950/956??

I’m pale skinned with dark hair- would any particular one be better for me?

RoryGilmoree · 06/05/2020 19:11

Thanks all. I'll keep my eyes peeled in the sales over the next few months, maybe BF and Xmas too. I'm really keen to try it so good to know it's been great. Have done laser but it's SO expensive and I'm fed up of having so many appointments and I've had to stop it all during lockdown anyway.

I think I'll stick with the Lumea advance for now, I cant justify the extra for the prestige unless a huge discount pops up somewhere!

The prestige is periodically available for around £200. I think if you hang on and keep checking you'll be able to get it reduced. I got a prestige but tbh I haven't yet used it cordless so the extra money for that isn't really necessary. If you can get an advance model at a discount I would go for that. Also quite often they're available cheaply on eBay if you don't mind second hand.

Amazon periodically do offers, I got mine on there when they had one.

Swiftier · 06/05/2020 20:13

I got mine from Amazon, I can’t remember exactly the discount but it was good - maybe 30% or so. It was in the Black Friday sale.

RoryGilmoree · 06/05/2020 22:28

Thanks all will keep my eyes peeled on Amazon.

Earlier this week I bought a Lumea Essential from the Philips website for £170 with 7% cash back on Quidco.

I've checked the Philips website just now and the price seems to have gone up to £220. I think it's worth becoming familiar with the usual cost of the different models, putting some money on one side, and just going for it when you see a bargain.
