The best (slimming?) high-waisted leggings/jeggings, please?

Just that.

I know some people rave about the M&S £15 jeggings, but the website reviews are pretty mixed and recent ones are quite poor.

Any thoughts, lovely people?

Thank you!

I’ve only tried the M&S ones but think they’re brilliant.

Starfish83 · 05/05/2020 15:41

Thanks, @MolotovMocktakil - that’s good to know! And, just to clarify, is it the £15 jeggings you have (as M&S do loads of leggings too!)?

Sorry, @MolotovMocktail even!

Jumping on this, thanks OP. I've been wearing Dorothy Perkins high waisted Eden ones for years (I think they're around £20, various colours) but recently the quality has gone a bit downhill and the they seem to go baggy after a couple of washes like the elastic goes in them. So there's some for you that I don't recommend anymore, sadly!

I gave up spending £100 on Levi’s skinnies four years ago and started buying variations of these from Uniqlo and never regretted it.

M&S for me too. Only bought my first pair this week and really happy £15 pair. I usually spend a lot more than that on these things so I'm super happy.

Happygirl79 · 05/05/2020 16:21

George @Asda have brilliant high waist leggings in black or navy
I think they are £14
Medium control pulls in the bits you don't want sticking out without discomfort
Highly recommended
I bought a pair in each colour then went back and bought 4 more!

I bought the high waisted M&S ones (for €34 which is more than £15) for my teenager. She was horrified by them (uncool or something Blush) so I adopted them and absolutely adore them. I think they are so flattering and comfortable. I will buy them again (for me this time)

€34 is probably supposed to be the euro version of £25 or £27 btw, regardless of exchange rate.

MolotovMocktail · 05/05/2020 17:10

The £15 M&S ones yes. They’re great, I am very apple shaped so they hold everything in.

Deathraystare · 05/05/2020 19:03

MolotovMocktail Ooh that is good to know, being apple shaped myself!

Starfish83 · 07/05/2020 09:12

Good to hear of all the great reviews for the M&S jeggings - I’m going to order a pair. I like the look of the Uniqlo ones too, thanks @Thinkle.

Now I need some leggings! Any more recommendations please? I can’t seem to find the ones you mentioned on the Asda website, @Happygirl79.

x

Hope that helps.
The black ones seem to be out of stock right now

Starfish83 · 07/05/2020 11:19

Ah, thanks @Happygirl79 - that’s great. I like the look of those...they almost look a bit jeans-y? I hope they restock the black ones soon too!
