Is this normal?

oh yes!! And it snuck up on me each of three times post natally and frightened me each time! It usually all settles down by 6 months. If you're breast feeding it is possible that you have a low iron storage level, so it may be worthwhile supplementing with floradix or ferrous sulphate if you can tolerate.

perfectly normal...a combnation of hormones and the fact that as your hair doesn't fall out at all when PG (why it looks thick and glossy), you have nine months hair loss in a very short space of time.

If it is excessive though, or doesn't settle at all, it may be worth having your thyroid function checked.
