Dyed my hair lilac. This isn’t lilac. It’s permanent.

My natural colour is very dark brown so I really wasn’t expecting great results from a box of ‘live’ lilac colour.

I’m really surprised it’s made my hair look so much lighter but it’s certainly not lilac. Is it a disaster or do you think it’s ok?

It’s fine! It looks a natural ashy blonde to me.

PaneerOfEvil · 30/04/2020 20:24

It looks great! Really natural.

Pelleas · 30/04/2020 20:24

It looks honey coloured to me - it's nice.

Glenthebattleostrich · 30/04/2020 20:24

Its a lovely colour but definitely not lilac!

Jojo19834 · 30/04/2020 20:26

Looks good!

Littleshortcake · 30/04/2020 20:26

Your hair is lovely and healthy. Much better than a lot of hair I have seen recently (not that it matters at jot).
Think it's great.

MrsGrindah · 30/04/2020 20:27

I think you would have had to bleaches very dark hair first to get a true lilac but it’s lovely. Looks very healthy.

YgritteSnow · 30/04/2020 20:28

I would love that colour from a box of hair dye. I have to pay a fortune to get highlights to get it though.

HugeBowlofChips · 30/04/2020 20:42

Not lilac but love it!

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 30/04/2020 20:43

It's not your hair you should worry about, it your application of mascara you need to deal with.

EmpressMaudie · 30/04/2020 20:45

Looks fine to me as is.

Samtsirch · 30/04/2020 20:46

@WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat
I was going to say it’s your overgrown moustache you need to worry about 😂
The hair is lovely OP

Juanmorebeer · 30/04/2020 21:08

Wow you got that from dark brown? Well done

AldiAisleOfCrap · 30/04/2020 21:09

I love it what brand of dye did you use?

rookiemere · 30/04/2020 21:10

It looks lovely

TyneTeas · 30/04/2020 21:28

It's definitely not lilac but looks really nice Smile

mycatsmellsbad · 30/04/2020 21:32

Ooh thanks I wasn’t expecting people to say it looks nice! I’ve been dark for so long and it was in pretty poor condition before (2 babies, ‘new hair’ etc).

This is my natural colour so quite a bit darker than it is now, pic attached with my awful mascara.

The brand I used was live cool lilac 104. Would have loved to get that colour but as pp said I think I need to go back to bleaching to get that and I’m not sure I’m ready to do that again due to the damage it’s caused over the year’s.

It looks fine, not extreme at all

I have to say, though, I prefer your old colour

torthecatlady · 30/04/2020 21:37

Did you use bleach before hand out of interest?

CoolShoeshine · 01/05/2020 05:48

I’ve no idea how the hell you got that from a lilac dye but it looks very very nice

BloomedAgain · 01/05/2020 06:41

Your natural colour isn't very dark OP.
Looks very nice now.

FamilyOfAliens · 01/05/2020 06:45

Those Live colours do have bleach in them though - DD is very dark brown - (we all are) and she went light auburn after using one.

TheRealHousewife · 01/05/2020 06:59

I’ll buck the trend. I love your darker hair, it has a radiance and natural shine which has been lost in the colouring process. Still looks ok though.

Battysace123 · 01/05/2020 07:08

Your original colour is so much nicer. I bet the box dyed blonde makes you look older

Mummyoflittledragon · 01/05/2020 07:10

I think it looks good too. Luckily for you it seems to compliment your skin tone.
