Summer / Winter version of cropped trousers and cashmere jumper

I’m trying to sort out my wardrobe in lockdown into a good quality capsule / minimalist type affair.

I like the ‘cropped trouser (fitted or wide leg, not skinny); Stan Smiths; light cashmere / merino jumper’ look.
However, this seems to be very much for fair weather, not too hot or too cold.

If you wear this sort of thing, what do you wear in more extreme temperatures (hot and cold)?

Alpaca ankle warmers and ankle boots with cigarette trousers, cashmere jumper with vest top under, cashmere scarf, oversized jacket can allow a gillet under if extremely cold . Gloves and hat too .
