So, Charlotte Tilbury dropped her new magic serum crystal elixir today!
Apparently:

"Charlotte's Magic Serum combats dull, dehydrated skin with with a combination of Replexium, Golden Viatmin C, Polyglutamic Acid, and an unique combination of botanicals including Resurrection Leaf and Snow Leaf, to leave you with brighter, plumper and ultimately more youthful skin.

The serum has already been a hit with reviewers too.

After being tested on 209 men and women aged 18-80 over eight weeks, 93 per cent agreed they looked younger, with 97 per cent saying their skin felt more hydrated, and 93 per cent said their skin felt firmer"

I love charlotte tilbury and I want this so bad- anyone else trying this?

I don't ever buy her products

Her voice annoys me
Her daaaarrrhhhling annoys me
Using the word magic annoys me
Using patronising slogans annoys me
Her marketing annoys me
Her prices annoys me

You get the picture Grin

but I do love Beauty pie and recommend it to everyone, really worth the money and the products are fantastic

wetpants · 16/04/2020 23:23

What the hell is golden vitamin C? Hmm

XylophoneSymphony · 17/04/2020 07:51

The ordinary HA after a hot shower or bath while still in steamy bathroom then locked in with any moisturiser will do more good and cost a LOT less plus a diet rich in fruit veg oily fish and plenty of water

XylophoneSymphony · 17/04/2020 08:08

Plus I’ve just had a closer look at the ingredients ......
Big no as it’s got fragrance in , I really avoid anything fragranced, can be irritating.
Niacinamide is high up on ingredients that can be drying for some and this is marketed as hydrating plus it has Shea butter which although can be lovely it does tend to break a lot of people out.

My DH got me the CT box of wonders thing for Christmas and it was not worth the price at all. After trying the tiny sample sized products inside, I was really turned off her line. All beautiful to look at and packaged, but for effective products there are much better out there. Won't be trying this.

Propergator · 17/04/2020 08:19

I love CT eyeshadows and blushers but haven’t been keen on any other products I’ve tried. The lipstick felt dry, the magic cream underwhelming, the foundation didn’t suit my skin at all and the weird primer stuff was glittery and made my skin look dirty not glowy, so I don’t think I’d be queue it up for this. Oh actually her clay mask I liked. I had a sample size of that and it wasn’t drying. Unless £60 is no problem at all, I’d agree on waiting for ‘real’ reviews on somewhere like Make Up Alley.

In my dim distant past I used to write reviews for all sorts of products for an in-flight mag. I used to quickly string something together from the press release and had rarely tried the products (the editor kept those for herself ). I also used to write the motoring page. The majority of cars have 4 wheels, an engine and a steering wheel and need to have an MOT and insurance and that’s where my motoring knowledge ends. Most reviews in newspapers, magazines both hard copy and online can be taken with a very big pinch of salt.

Reading the OP did seem like marketing blurb.

I saw the ad on tv last night. All those made up ingredients just made me laugh. It seemed so dated.

The lip pencils are the same as any other. The famed pillow talk lipstick that is meant to suit everybody is drying and makes me look like a corpse.

I do like her blush and I will repeat purchase that, but will not bother will anything else from the range.

XylophoneSymphony · 17/04/2020 11:23

Another pillow talk corpse here
It literally drains my colour and gives me a yellow/grey tinge, makes my teeth look horrible and ages me

CaroleFuckinBaskin · 17/04/2020 11:28

The name 'Magic Serum Crystal Elixir' is hilarious, and what the fuck is 'golden vitamin C' and 'Resurrection Leaf'?

What an absolute crock of shiiiiiit.

Glitterb · 17/04/2020 11:31

I loved a sample of the magic cream I got with an order once, but I would never pay that much for a skin cream (unless I won the lottery!)

I find her other products blah tbh! I’ve got a few lipsticks and they are so uncomfortable to wear and her face powder is like chalk. Better brands out there for sure
