Coronavirus hands: the results of the hand washing

Not sure where to post this.

My garden gate had swelled in recent rains and you know what? I pretty much think I could plane the edge back with the palm of my hand after all this washing, it's so rough.

Nothing really kicks in, not even heel crack lotion.

Any suggestions?

Eczema cream is working for me.
Currently using diprobase.

I really love this hand balm from Arket - it's really thick and has been a lifesaver for my overly washed hands: www.arket.com/en_gbp/homeware/bath-body/product.hand-balm,-50ml-white.0487408006.html

Also had success with an old tube of Neutrogena Nordic Berry hand cream (not sure if they still make this!) and some Body Shop body butter - basically anything really thick that I can slather on and let sink in slowly.

Vaseline and socks as mittens at night, if you can bear it.

Get yourself some of this. Within a few days your hands will be soft again!

My 11 yr old has ocd and his hands are red raw from washing
Need to get him something stronger than my normal hand cream

I’ve swapped the handwash for Dove. Hands feel comfortable again.

bar soap. and weleda skin food at night.

Might be the soap that's the problem - ? Some soaps make my hands very rough and sandpapery. I use Vanicream bars (Idk if they're sold here, they're for sensitive skin) and Skin Food and so far so good.
