i had the great idea of dyeing my hair a darker shade of blonde so my roots would be less obvious,as i am getting it coloured properly next month for my wedding.

i got a loving care colour but failed to read the line 'do not use on bleached or lightened hair' on the packaging.the result is yellowy-orange hair.

advice ,anyone?

try washing up liquid, can be drying though, so condition it well

Coal tar shampoo or head and shoulders, either will rip strip the colour out of your hair.

Make sure you use loads of conditioner as well.

i guess washing it is what causes it to fade after 6-8 weeks so just wash it repeatedly... and look for some shampoo that claims to ultraclean your hair. neutrogena used to do one. anti-residue shampoo.

Don't over do it Divastrop, you could end up with it in really bad condition for your wedding. What about going to the hairdressers and getting it toned down properly, you might not even need to get any colour in it for your wedding then.
