Skinny jeans for 13 year old that are actually skinny?

Hi, seems to be impossible to find jeans that are actually skinny enough for DD. Tried h and m skinny fit skinny ones and they were about four inches too wide for her! Also tried Tesco but they were rubbish too. I don't think she is abnormally skinny just slim and tall.

Hmm maybe your going to have to try Levi’s I’m afraid if you’re okay with the price tag

Bienentrinkwasser · 12/04/2020 17:29

Have you tried topshop?

Allihearischasemarshallskye · 12/04/2020 19:18

River island , top shop , Zara

mepan · 12/04/2020 21:12

Primark

HeyMicky · 12/04/2020 21:15

La Redoute is good for skinny kids

horseymum · 13/04/2020 09:00

Thanks, I'll look at them.

'Pull and bear' are online, and fit brilliantly on my long-legged skinny teen. She also found H + M too gappy on waist.

TamingToddler · 13/04/2020 09:05

Topshop jeans are elite!

heidbuttsupper · 13/04/2020 09:05

New Look

weemidden · 13/04/2020 09:05

Also very reasonable price-wise.

Savoretti · 13/04/2020 09:07

Next. My DS is a beanpole and the super skinny stretchy ones are perfect

PontiacBandit · 13/04/2020 09:11

Primark too. Both of mine are slim (they don't get it from me) I've found any form of trousers difficult, they all have to have the stretchy adjustable waist button otherwise they fall down. They are quite short so even at 11 she is wearing age 9 clothes.

horseymum · 13/04/2020 10:59

Thanks, I have the problem that she must be a bit tall so if I buy age 14 for height, they are massive. Also no hips yet so ladies small sizes wouldn't work I don't think. WY do eugve o have growth spurts just now?!

Are you shopping in the children’s section OP? I used to work for a shop that had both children’s and adults ranges and I always thought age 12 and above were way bigger than smaller adult sizes. I’d look at the Topshop Joni range as they are more of a jegging so are much tighter on the legs.

TheRealCaroleBaskin · 13/04/2020 13:45

River Island

keepingbees · 13/04/2020 13:56

My DS is very skinny and Next were the only ones that actually fitted skinny on him.

Chattycatty · 13/04/2020 14:23

Next are the best ones out there my 16yr old swears by them

Aprilcherry04 · 13/04/2020 14:36

Yes you need to buy ladies not kids. I'm a short ass and when I was a size 12 (many, many moons ago)I was able to fit into kids age 15-16.

LightACandleHoney · 13/04/2020 14:43

DD 13 swears by Hollister and New Look. Hollister def not the cheapest (if buying in the U.K. - they were much better priced when we lived in the US) but I don’t mind buying them as she wears them to death so price per wear definitely works out ok value. She has 1 pair Hollister and 1 pair New Look. Had them for probably about 18m and has worn them almost daily. (Always changes after school) All are pushing it now for size so once lockdown is over I’ll need to buy new. The Hollister ones are def in the best condition and will be passed on to younger sisters. The new look ones are ok but have lost their shape a little and are more worn.

LlamaofDrama · 13/04/2020 19:45

Top shop petite Jonis work for my tall skinny fussy 10yo DD. Similar in that she's wearing age 12-13 for length and 9 for width!

CarrotCakeMuffins · 13/04/2020 19:56

My tall skinny long legged teen DD has Joni jeans from Top shop (ladies range, not kids). They come in a variety of waist size and leg length combinations so you should be able to get ones that fit your DD and they are skinny.

myfav · 13/04/2020 22:32

I swear by Jack Wills, don't go baggy like topshop ones.

Castoreum · 13/04/2020 22:36

Stradivarius in the smallest size are absolutely tiny. Also cheaper than TopShop!

CrocusPocus · 13/04/2020 22:42

Definitely Next. I even recently had to return a pair that was too tight on my beanpole of a son.

CrocusPocus · 13/04/2020 22:42

Oh except I've just remembered that they're closed at the moment, sorry! H and M are good too.
