They’ve changed Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturiser and now I can’t wear it. Any alternatives?

I liked how it was so light and easy to —slap on carelessly— apply, but the new formulation makes my eyes sting, burn and water all day. What’s a good alternative please?

I presume I am allergic to the sun protection in it, so is there an alternative chemical which is in other tinted moisturiser which does the same job?

Have you tried nars pure radiant ?

feesh · 12/04/2020 17:16

Nope, but it’s on the list now! Thank you!

Bare minerals complexion rescue uses a mineral rather than chemical sunscreen which is less likely to irritate.

Thank you

I'm a Nars user too.

I’d also recommend NARS pure radiant (tinted moisturiser). It’s fragrance free, non comedogenic and oil free. It had good coverage. I’ve used it a couple of years now. I prefer it to Laura Mercier. The LM might have a new fragrance in it that’s causing a problem.

Guinot Creme Hydra Finish. I became too sensitive for most as well, but this is amazing stuff. Comes out green at first (I know), rub it between your fingers tips and apply like a moisturiser. Id never change now.

I am a dedicated LM fan - travel to UK yearly (not this yeAr though😥). Am just about to finish my current old tube and wandering weather to try something else as I have heard the new formulation is not good. May try the Nars one - when our lockdown finishes and shops open - which I am not expecting any time soon.

Thank you all, some good ideas here. I can’t believe they changed the formulation of such a cult classic - what were they thinking?

@LunaTheCat have you tried Cult Beauty or LookFantastic? Both deliver internationally (it’s where I get mine from and I live abroad too).

It’s totally different now. I bought a repeat purchase of the same shade I’d been using for years and it was so orange on my pale skin. Took it back to the shop and they said the range has been revamped to include shades for more skin tones, which is obviously a good thing, but in doing so they adjusted all the colours in the range but kept the same names. Bonkers. Anyway they colour matched me to a different shade. It’s still orange. Going to have to give up on this product after using it for probably 10 years now.

feesh · 13/04/2020 11:59

Yes mine is a bit orange too!
