New sports bra- needs to be online and any sizing tips ?

Hi all. I'm doing lots more exercise as I have the time (I usually just run but trying to do online too) but one bra is doing my head in, one is dead and I need new. I want them ok for running for when I get back out - using my exercise for waking with kids currently Smile. I'm a 34D in regular bras.
I need it online of course but ideally something someone of similar size can recommend!!

Look at boobydoo website

Polkadotpjs · 01/04/2020 12:29

I will thanks. Hoping someone has a personal recommendation too. I get lost on websites!

I use shock absorber. I go up one back size and down one cup size from my normal bras. So I’m normally 32FF, and in shock absorber, I wear 34F. My DD uses the same formula for her SA. Normally 32E, and wears a 34D or DD.

Berlei are the best, they do under wired ones and some of them are in the sale for £10 at the moment.

TeaMilkNoSugarThanks · 01/04/2020 13:12

I love Panache sports bras. The bands come up slightly small so you might be between sizes, but they do need to be tight to prevent bounceage.

CMOTDibbler · 01/04/2020 13:27

My current absolute favourite bra (I have quite a few) is the Runderwear Easy on. You buy your regular size (as long as you've done Boob or Bust for an accurate bra size) and it is so comfortable and still gives a good shape. I'm a 32F at the moment, and ran 12km on Monday and not a hint of wobble or chafing.
Otherwise, I really rate Panache. I liked the comfort of Berlei, but not supportive enough for leaping around in, and I can never get a Shock Absorber to fit

sleepwhenidie · 01/04/2020 13:30

Ditto everything that ilovecherries said!

knightlight · 01/04/2020 13:43

Another fan of shock absorber here.

I got mine from amazon and went down a backsize.

Amazon do a try on service called amazon wardrobe where you can order up to 6 at a time and send back the ones you don't want without being charged for them or for return postage. Bit tricky at the moment though.

An Enell is the only thing that I'll run in. Once you're in it, nothing will move. I haven't got that much going on up top but I'm of an age and I don't want my assets dropping Blush.

Expensive but brilliant.

I0NA · 01/04/2020 13:56

I also love the Enell it’s not eg prettiest thing ever but I’m a GG.

The Op is a D cup, so much smaller. She can get away with a regular sports bra.

OverMy · 01/04/2020 14:14

OP
Have you recently checked your bra size?

booborbust.com/ Worth doing before ordering a sports bra that has to work much harder!

Polkadotpjs · 01/04/2020 17:49

I’ve measured before but not the right and not so tight so will do again. I’ve just my mum’s home made cheese and onion pie though so maybe later 😂😆. It feels like it’s stuck to my ribs!

Anyone want to guess my new bra size?!

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 02/04/2020 08:19

30F

Polkadotpjs · 02/04/2020 08:35

32FF. Quite the surprise. I have a 32E bra I bought in the sale which fits really nicely but Is a bit snug ! So I go 34F in a sports bra or E at a pinch? The booby doo website has lots. Quite excited - sad I know

If you are 32FF in a normal bra I’d try 34F in a sports bra. They tend to come up tight on the band.

Well actually I’d try 2-3 different sizes. I find sports bras very difficult to predict, I’ve just bought one and had to order about a dozen to get one to fit well.

Strangely it’s a panache and I normally avoid them in an ordinary bra as their wires sit too high for me ( and this is a wired sports bra). Random.

CMOTDibbler · 02/04/2020 09:02

As the cups on the 32E are too small, the cups will be stealing from the band, so I'd try a Panache in 32FF and a 34F. Have a look at BraStop - they have free returns, and most of their bras are discounted

vaz119 · 02/04/2020 09:51

I really rate the Freya sports bras and I'm a similar size... But definitely recommend sizing up in the back

Polkadotpjs · 02/04/2020 10:29

The cups on the 32E are great. I just find the band a bit tight after a full day. But I like my comfort Grin

I find I need my normal Boob or Bust size in Berley, Panache and Freya sports bras, but need to go back size up in Shock Absorber Run or Multisport, but not Fly.
