How often are you....

I usually wash my hair every 2 days, but being at home on lockdown have pushed to 3 days (it is proper manky by this point). I get grumpy if I feel very dirty...

I tie it up every day and don't bother straightening it or using anything fancy.

Shaving legs every 3-4 days, because the stubble makes me itchy otherwise. Pluck eyebrows only when I cba.

I wear leggings every day, and any top that won't have to be ironed after it's washed. I wear bras for at least 3 days whereas before I wore a new one every day. Tbh I may ditch the bra altogether if just in the house.

I'm using cheap moisturiser for my face every few days. My skin does feel dry though so may have to rethink this.

I'm doing everything I used to too. Shower everyday, wash hair 5 or 6 times per week, tweeze eyebrows, shave legs and armpits every other day. Am still moisturising and painting toenails. Obviously eyebrows don't look as nice as when I get them professionally threaded and I am not bothering to dress up - am living in my comfies so again no change.
Only real difference is that I'm not wearing makeup, but I think my skin is enjoying the rest.

I’m really struggling with hair removal tbh, mainly because my preferred method is waxing but obviously I can’t go to a salon now and it’s a bit difficult to buy waxing strips from Boots right now. I don’t want to shave because of the faster regrowth/stubble/ingrown hair etc so I’m a bit stuck until I can buy some strips.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/03/2020 15:03

I’m carrying on as normal on work days - shower, hair, makeup, nice outfit for working at my kitchen table. At weekends having a bath, then loungewear. Pedicure once a week, nails painted every few days, shaving a couple of times a week.

I have a blunt fringe which might be my undoing though.

StarlightLady · 29/03/2020 15:22

Working from home but business almost as usual. Still shower first thing and put a little make up on. Still tend to wear dresses on work days. Knickers and sometimes bra have disapeared off the getting dressed list.

MardyGrass · 29/03/2020 16:20

Update for the poster who wondered why I needed to wax every weekend.
Over 50 chin and tache require that amount of attention!

optimisticpessimist01 · 29/03/2020 16:32

No makeup, but I wash my hair every 2 days and blow dry it too just so I don't look like I've been completely dug up. Using the opportunity to sort my skin out. Haven't shaved in about 2 weeks razor snapped and keep forgetting to get another when I visit supermarket.

happytobemrsg · 29/03/2020 17:37

I used to wash my hair 2x a week (was able to stretch it out this long a few years back). Now, because I only WFH 2 days a week (Tues & Thurs) I’m just washing my hair Monday night!

I have always had a crap skincare regime. I only look after it if I’m wearing/taking off makeup. I’ll start looking after it more today

Terralee · 29/03/2020 18:14

I'm trying to shower & wash hair daily, I just feel better if I do.
Especially when I've been at work as an HCA looking after suspected covid patients.

I also want to look nice at work (because fit doctors / physios / etc) so I'm still looking after my skin & hair colour.

MinesaPinot · 29/03/2020 18:30

I shower every day and shave underarms and legs as I would do were I going out to work rather than WFH. Hair washed twice a week again as normal.

I started off not wearing makeup and just pulling on comfies to work, but actually towards the end of last week put on smarter pull on printed trousers with toning t shirt and a little bit of makeup (Laura Geller powder foundation, bit of blush, bit of mascara) and a little bit of jewellery. I aIso sprayed on some perfume. I actually felt much better and more inclined to work rather than just lie on the sofa and periodically check my emails. It must be psychological.

I said to DH that these past week/ten days has been somewhat like unchartered waters, but I need to start getting into a proper routine. Walk before work say 3 mornings a week. Twice a week after work do my ballet barre exercises which is about 30 mins. I just need some structure and, in a strange way, a feel of normality inside the house, even though I know that outside it's all completely strange.

Aderyn19 · 29/03/2020 18:36

browzingss maybe you could order an epilator? Hurts the first few times but you might be okay if you are used to waxing

Bagelsandbrie · 29/03/2020 18:41

I’m getting showered and dressed every day. I need the routine of it for my mental health. I’m not wearing as much make up as usual or worried about shaving as much but I still like the definition of being up and then getting ready for bed later on.

Doobigetta · 29/03/2020 18:43

I’m showering, hair washing and hair removing as often as always. I think not doing would contribute to feeling even more crap about being stuck at home. Also dressing properly every day although more casually- it seems a bit ridiculous to wear blouses and blazers around the house. Makeup though has been cut to none at all or just bb cream and mascara. I put a full face on to go to the supermarket the other day because it was the highlight of my week Grin

Passthecake30 · 04/04/2020 07:51

I'm washing my hair twice a week instead of 3 times a week, showering/bathing every 2 days, wearing the same clothes to work out to jo wicks in for several times/a week, wearing clothes for longer... if there's a bit of dirt down our clothes, who cares? No one can see us. It's really helped retrain my dd who usually wears a clean outfit every day after school for 2 hours before it goes in the wash. I'm doing less laundry and ironing as a result Smile
My grey roots are coming through my semi golden/ash hair dye. Might rethink and have highlights to soften instead when I can.

Wannabegreenfingers · 04/04/2020 08:10

Still shower and wash during every day otherwise I'd smell. Hair is super greasy and really cant go more then a day.ni tried last year and even after 6 months no change :(

I'm not shaving, bar armpits. I'm newly single and my legs are still covered in winter clothes.

Im not really enjoying leggings and lounge wear, but it just feels like a waste to put on ice clothes that no one sees. No make-up here either.

SpeckledyHen · 04/04/2020 08:25

Everything the same as usual except nail polish but later in the morning Hair wash and style, shower , makeup , shave legs etc.
I need to feel human physically to be OK mentally and it passes a fair bit of time !

No nail polish as it’s essential for proper hand washIng .

CarolineBingley · 04/04/2020 18:42

Everything the same as usual, I am on video calls all day long. Only difference is the trackie bottoms and slippers that no one can see. Otherwise the usual daily shower, hair removal, make up, hair, nice top, perfume. Reapply lipstick during the day and give my hair a mid day brush.
