Jojoba oil for nail care and growth?

Trying to grow my fingernails and read an article today that said Jojoba oil is very good for nail care generally and helps promote nail growth and strength. Anyone know if this is true and actually works?

My experience is with almond and coconut oils and they worked.

Nails benefit from a good diet and from gentle filing and buffing.
I am not sure if the oils would benefit them, and generally, I think that things like hand cream can ruin nails.

Almond oil is much less expensive than jojoba oil, but I like jojoba oil on my face.

@Raffathebear@ I already have coconut oil so will try that. Thanks for the response.

@MikeUniformMike@ I maintain a good diet and have always used hand cream to good effect and never had any problem with my nails. I had false nails applied for a wedding a few weeks ago and although I've had them removed by the same person who did them, she cut my nails quite short afterward. I didn't expect them to be cut and it was done before I could react really as I was talking to someone else in the salon. I wasn't happy about them being cut, but anyway, since then they've been flaky and dry and there seems to be a lot of loose little bits of skin around the edges. I wish I'd never had the false nails put on, but have learned by experience not to do that again. Just trying now to grow my nails back to original length and to 'feed' them in the process as they look (to me) in bad condition. Thanks for replying.
