Would one of these put you off those boots, JV?

JeremyVile · 10/09/2007 20:03

Well, I can quite safely declare my first ever OP in this section a resounding success

I'll get my coat (no doubt you all hate that too)!!

I love the green calf length boots on that Gina site but at the price!

I have planned a trip to Duo for my birthday in October

oregonianabroad · 10/09/2007 20:06

I need some flat boots with good arch supports that don't make me look butch.

morningpaper · 10/09/2007 20:06

Maybe we like you looking butch

TwitmonstEr · 10/09/2007 20:08

noses around looking for purple boots.

actually I am in the market for some comfortable waterproof boots. My other ones sprung a leak in the floods lol.
not wellies, something that actually looks good.

although am pmsl at the furry crocs I keep seeing.

oregonianabroad · 10/09/2007 20:11

haha, morningpaper, but I gave up muffdiving for lent.

BBBee · 10/09/2007 20:14

oregonianabroad find them and tell us.

oregonianabroad · 10/09/2007 20:21

I like the look of these but I saw them in the shop and they are kind of cheapy looking in rl.

NDPHasAKittenOnTheKeyboard · 10/09/2007 20:28

Holy Moses !!!!!

The first ones are grotesque

The second ones are mildly less hideous, but still.

mabelmurple · 10/09/2007 20:35

Those Russell & Bromley ones look like you've mended them yourself by sticking on a jam jar lid - they'd actually be quite nice without that 'detail'.
Slightly off topic, why have most shoe shops stopped doing a size 5.5? I am exactly that size - a 5 is too small and a 6 way too big. What has made them change?

MrsCarota · 10/09/2007 20:39

I got some like this today. I asked the man if he thought I was too old for them which usually means you are.

JeremyVile · 10/09/2007 20:41

Thanks Pruners

and mini skirt lol

oregonianabroad · 10/09/2007 20:46

I had some like this a few years ago and wore them to death. Wonder if I should just get another pair? Also, can recommend them for BBBee.

TwitmonstEr · 10/09/2007 20:48

yes, like those, but they wouldn't be waterproof would they? Plain leather ones might be though.
Boring I know but I walk alot everyday what with school etc.

oregonianabroad · 10/09/2007 20:50

If you're talking about mine, they were pretty waterproof. I wore them constantly for 2 years, just brusehd the suede very very very infrequently (OK, once).

BBBee · 10/09/2007 20:54

they are really lovely - thanks so much. I had a quick look today and they were either high heels or butch as butch - those aren't either - you star.

oregonianabroad · 10/09/2007 21:08

(pats self on back, blushing modestly)

MrsJohnCusack · 10/09/2007 21:27

I am a boot fancier and can safely say that both those pairs in your OP live RIGHT up to your surname Jeremy!

indiasmum · 12/09/2007 19:22

er, no to the ones in Op but am feeling lustful after these

BananaPudding · 12/09/2007 19:46
