Charm Bracelets - Nice or Naff ??

A bit of market research on my part
What is the MN feeling on charm bracelets ? I'm thinking all sterling silver, personalised with charms & also maybe crystal beads.
Nice or a bit naff ??
And if nice, how much would you expect to pay for something like that ??

I have had my charm bracelet since I was 12 and I love it!! It is almost full now and it is one of my most precious possessions, each charm has a special memory attached to it, especially now that my parents are no longer with me.

We bought dd one for her christening and every birthday and christmas we add a new charm.

oh yes that would be lovely, if each charm had a meaning or something?

My idea was to make them to order, based on the person

I LOVE mine. Its from Links.
My DS has LD's and DH bought the bracelet and lets DS choose a link when it is my birthday or special occasion. It is lovely.

(DS is doing really well and actually chose some presents last christmas - a doll for his sister for example. But for me he chose ...a bucket . Now why does a bucket seem like the ideal present for me? I do not regularly mop or vomit in his presence. Why?

So, not just nice but perfect
