I'm a personal shopper virgin. What do I need to know?

I've booked myself a session with a personal shopper at the end of the month. House of Fraser. Just for a few casual items. I've never done this before. Don't know what to expect. What will she ask me? I keep thinking she's going to make me strip down to my underwear so she can tut at me. Should I get my legs waxed before I go? Oh dear I hope I'm not going to regret this.

Agree that the personal shopper won't mind if you don't wax your legs but you will probably enjoy the experience more if you feel confident and that you are looking your best. I usually wear a nude t-shirt bra and pants so they don't show through whatever I'm trying on but I have (ahem!) been known to bring magic knickers if I was looking for evening wear or something that I think will need the extra help! If you have a great necklace or something else that you would really like to find something to match remember to bring that and if you are looking for something to wear with heels I bring a pair of my own even if the colour isn't right (although it doesn't really matter, they'll find you a pair of shoes if needs be).

Thanks kama and annh. I'm feeling more reassured now. I'm not expecting to try on any skirts, but I take on board what you say about feeling good and I'll have my legs done. Getting quite excited now.
