teachers or anyone else who spends their day walking about corridors or on their feet - lets talk comfy heels.

I love shoes and I love heels that make a statement. But it is a rare day I manage to keep my heels on all day.

I do flats every now and again but I don;t feel right in them and often feel that being 5 foot two I need the height when dealing with teenagers who tower over me.

I do wear wedges sometimes as they tend to be more comfortable but even they rarely make it past 2pm.

So can anyone recomend some comfy heels to me.

I am unpopular with many husbands for similar reasons.

I have no experience of their shoes, but have you looked at Duo Shoes? Their boots are very comfortable even with heels. And I am so glad I looked that up for you because I see they have opened a shop in Edinburgh hurrah hurrah.

birthdaycake · 09/09/2007 18:27

I have problems because my feet are really narrow and I can't wear shoes from the high street becasue they just slide through the front. I can only wear AA width narrow shoes that I buy online from Niche Shoes. Because they're the right size they are comfortable if you see what I mean.

hoolagirl · 09/09/2007 19:22

What about these, you can bounce down the corriders in them
boing

twinsetandpearls · 09/09/2007 20:43

Tanum I realised they did boots but not shoes, you have made me a happy woman.

I don't do heels but these are comfy

hatwoman · 09/09/2007 20:48

clarks clarks clarks. see my latest additions here (just another chance to show them off really seeing as no-one took any notice )

popsycal · 09/09/2007 20:48

I also wear crocs when my legs are failing

hatwoman · 09/09/2007 20:48

they simplify links and I still get it wrong here

scienceteacher · 09/09/2007 20:51

I tend to wear either mules or sandals (not Crocs!). I think if I wanted to wear heels for smartness, I would have something to change into. My only pair of heels is a pari of ultra boring court shoes that I bought about 6 years ago. I wear them when I wear a skirt outside of sandal and boot seasons.

Tamum · 09/09/2007 20:54

Oh, I'm so glad twinset I thought they looked like the right kind of shoes from your other link, and I bet they are comfortable. A sale is a bit of a bonus, certainly, and I have a feeling you are not that far from Edinburgh, maybe?

twinsetandpearls · 09/09/2007 20:59

No i am in Lancashire but you can order online, I am in the process of doing so.

camper shoes are v comfy and a bit on the unusual side, design wise. I wear them for teaching, when I can afford them...

twinsetandpearls · 09/09/2007 21:02

grr they are out of stock

OP posts:
Tamum · 09/09/2007 21:02

twinsetandpearls · 09/09/2007 21:06

Have my lustful eyes set on some Camper shoes - how are their sizes, big or small, wide or narrow?? And on the subject, have recently aqquired Clarke's Cubin Heels- very comfortable and runnable in

everychocolatehasaskinnylining · 09/09/2007 23:45

Oh yes I've got some camper shoes 'Sophia' I think they are and they're superduper, pretty yet ever so comfy

everychocolatehasaskinnylining · 09/09/2007 23:46

They look really narrow on,partly because of the design but my feet are fairly narrow anyway

twinsetandpearls · 10/09/2007 01:09

Have had a look at camper shoes, are they clumpy?

They are expensive is this because they are very well made, exceptionally comfy?

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 10/09/2007 01:12

I can't make up my mind about them , but if they are comfy I may give it a go.

Hello.
Do you live anywhere near manchester centre? If so there is a FANTASTIC!!!! shop on St Ann's Square called Schoon. It sells quirky but pretty shoes ( including Campers). The staff are great and the selection is different to your usual Clarks. I bought a pair from them in Spring and will be going back on payday for my Autumn shoes. ( I don't work there BUT I am a teacher)
