I have dreamed of one forever. No idea how much they cost have always guessed a few grand so can anyone tell me??

The classic black (possibly settle for navy) quilted bag. Doesn’t need to be huge like would want to fit purse, phone, keys a few bits in. My boss had one that was too small she has to take her key ring off to fit her keys in.

You all need to kill this dream for me so I stop thinking about it Grin

They are things of beauty, for sure. I adore mine but they’ve lost their exclusivity ( at least in C London). Wouldn’t buy another for that reason.

Fakes are very easy to spot.

Caviar leather is harder wearing than lambskin. Lambskin ages beautifully IMO though. I have 5 plus some other designers but I am only going to buy Chanel going forward. The first jumbo classic I bought was £3200 I think and it now retails for over £5k. I sold my GST for more than I paid for it (straps kept slipping off my shoulders).

If it gives you a sigh of pleasure every time you get it out of its pretty little dustcover, it’s entirely worth it.

The lamb skin is very delicate @Squiffy01 if you're planning on using it a lot, I'd recommend the caviar leather.

I've got two in lambskin and one in caviar and I use the caviar a lot more. But also they're brighter colours and I feel like the limited edition colours - my caviar WOC is a Boy in a 19c pink - stand out less as looking fake. The black classics are easier to fake than the seasonal colours and styles.

But like a PP I'm in London and fakes are everywhere and very easy to spot so my classic feels a lot less exclusive than the other colours.

However, I adore the craftsmanship and three/four years later still love opening them up and taking them out.

There's nothing more beautiful than lovely plump lambskin quilts on a Chanel. I personally don't think it's anywhere near as delicate as its made out to be. I think a classic flap or a 2.55 would be a great addition to any collection. Have a look online for prices and pieces from the current collection.
