Anyone tried EL Futurist Hydra Rescue Foundation

Came up on a FB feed today. I currently use ELDW, but despite drinking shed loads of water and a full on face care regime my skin is still dry and ELDW brings out my pores.

I do like it because it doesn't shift (much), but would like to try something else.

N.B I have tried lord knows how many foundations over the years and always gone back to ELDW.

Me. I got a sample in John Lewis a couple of weeks ago when they had the exclusive on it. The woman “matched” me with a gun thing to a horrible pink colour, but once we sorted that the shade was perfect. Wear-wise it looked okay, settled in my pores a bit, but the next day I woke up with a huge boil. Possibly coincidence, but I binned it! I usually use an YSL one, and much prefer it.

Sali Hughes is absolutely raving about it, my skin is incredibly oily so I don’t think it’s for me. I had a feel of the texture in store and it felt nice and the coverage looked good but I haven’t tried it on my skin.

Sali Hughes is in a paid commercial partnership with EL to promote it, which she has clearly disclosed. It looks absolutely lovely on her, but remember that she has had Botox, and also has access to loads of free top notch skincare products, which possibly helps her look amazing.

I love it. I heard Angie Hot and Flashy rave about it and as my holy grails always match hers, I thought I would give it a go and it is fan-tas-tic. Sheer to full depending on application. Not as flat as DW. Long lasting. Slight glow but not the greasy kind. Does not stay tacky. Great for my mature skin and not many look good on me any more.

damn I googled for reviews and watched her video when I got my sample - it looked fabulous on her! It must have been released earlier in the USA because I couldn’t find any U.K. reviews at that point.

I've been really looking forward to this as my holy grail is double wear light. But Futurist Hydra Rescue doesn't come in my shade (1C1 Cool Bone). Gutted.

WellTidy, I went for a shade that sounded lighter than what I wear in other EL foundations and it works really well.

I'm trialling it just now. Lovely finish but probably not quite enough coverage for me. And showed up some of my flaky patches by the end of the day!

With the people looking for medium to full coverage... How are u applying it?
