Do pore minimising creams and lotions work on dryish skin?

?

I think my open pores are something to do with getting older (42). I'm put off the pore reducing stuff in case it blocks my pores and makes me spotty.

I've found that eve lom cleanser works well on pores and is quite moisturising also.

I've got a Clinique one and it makes my skin quite dry and flakey.

I did have an Oil of Ulay (or Olay ) lotion which claimed to be good for open pores. It didn't fix them but it didn't dry my skin out either if that's any help.

Microdermobrasion type things are meant to be good for aging skin and open pores. I've got Origins Modern Friction and it does leave my skin quite taut but not too dry. I think my pores look better with it but not sure.

I'd be interested to know if anyone else has found some kind of pore reducing miracle product.

I suppose I don't understand why my pores are more open now that my skin is.....maturing (most gracefully on the whole) but it is annoying.

Apparently it's to do with the skin losing elasticity as it gets older. Sorry

humph - thought it might be something like that!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! Maybe you're just having a second adolescence

BTW puff, in case you're still interested, I just bought this and I'm v impressed. I just used a bit last night and this morning and it does actually seem to be making a difference.
