Flip flops are not shoes. They are beachwear.

This is the UK.

Beachwear has no place here this summer.

Plenty cool here, already.

I'm thinking about getting some Uggs to go with my Crocs .

Budababe · 04/09/2007 09:32

Cropped trsrs on here too. Was planning nice t-shirt and sandals till woke up to rain and cold. So did ballet flats and feet still freezing. Back home now so changed into flip flops.

Sept is normally lovely here. Tis shite today though and all this week.

expatinscotland · 04/09/2007 09:37

I've got trouser socks on with boots. It's a bit blowy and chilly here the day.

bozza · 04/09/2007 09:49

Today I am at work with long linen skirt and ballet flats. Yesterday I did jeans and flip flops. But it was quite warm here yesterday so kept putting on cardie and then taking it off.

TigerFeet · 04/09/2007 10:04

Tis freezing here this morning

Am wearing ballet flats but feet are blocks of ice

Am also wearing attractive work fleece with embroidered logo

LaCod · 04/09/2007 10:05

SilentTerror · 04/09/2007 12:46

Sunny here but not very warm.
Me- silk crinkle skirt(Boden via Ebay!!)
Gold Ballet Flats
White T shirt
Cropped Cardigan on and Off.
Agree Cod,summer clothes not quite right somehow but too soon for heavy Autumn stuff

hoxtonchick · 04/09/2007 12:55

i've got ballet flats, jeans & a tunic thing on & i'm bloody freezing.....

DarthVader · 04/09/2007 12:59

More gold ballet flats, cropped cardi, wrap skirt

feeling quite pleased with my in-between look

nobody else is much impressed; apparently my 2 tone arms make it look like both wrists in plaster...

MrsBadger · 04/09/2007 13:01

tis a pain
flipfloppy things with jeans means hems drag on the ground because they are the right length to wear with boots

no more matwear though (thank god)

I shouldn't show my face in the style thread... big black fleece, long sleeved black t-shirt, black jeans and red socks with canvas red spotty pumps (cycling to and from school to get dd.... it is way too cold here for f-f-f-flipflops shiver)... I am going staright to winter wardrobe, should be able to afford some good sturdy winter woolies, because I didn't buy any summer clothes this year due to the crap weather

francagoestohollywood · 04/09/2007 13:15

but it's actually warmer than july!
I can't see the problem. and a big no to flip flop other than at the beach anyway.
me,: jeans, cotton jumper and green balletr shoes. no socks.
if darthvader is not using her black suit I'd be keen to borrow it.

bozza · 04/09/2007 15:21

MrsB I have one pair of jeans that are the right length to wear with flats. They are quite useful atm.

bundle · 04/09/2007 15:26

i have my glittery M&S fake converse on, with black wideleg trousers, black and pink layered tshirts. hate flip flops, can't bear anything between my toes. it's lovely wearing socks again

MrsBadger · 04/09/2007 15:38

bozza
I only have two pairs of trous that fit at all atm

DrNortherner · 04/09/2007 15:41

Oh I disagree about flip flops being beach wear. I have a really sturdy pair of flip flop style sandals from M&S, with diamontes on and I have lived in them.

I would love to do ballet pumps but I look wrong in them.

Today I have my high heeled black patent peep toes on as I am at work.

AufishFeQueen · 04/09/2007 18:34

I'm wearing today:

a pair of boyfriend jeans
a white smock top
a ballet wrap short sleeved cardi on top which brings in the smock top
white ballet pumps

changed my mind about the knitted dress and tights. Far too warm for that yet.

bozza · 04/09/2007 22:06

Well MrsB if you will go having babies..... I do remember being severely limited in the trouser dept and doubt I was even up to two pairs at your stage postnatally.
