Black ankle boots, smartish, comfortable, can be worn with dresses, leggings or jeans.

All of my shoes/boots have suddenly become uncomfortable and falling apart, so I need something I can wear for work that will go with a dress and black tights, or a tunic and leggings.

I have to walk about a lot at work so they need to be really comfy and waterproof (not suede), ideally with a very small heel. I think maybe ankle boots are the best option to go with dresses as well as leggings?

I wondered about these from Clark's but they're not in my size.

So two questions:

• what types of boots would you suggest
• can you find them online in size 6 or 7

I find the Orinoco boots a bit narrow and I don't have particularly wide feet so it's probably worth trying them on first!

Ooh thanks, didn't think of eBay, I couldn't find any on Clark's outlet.

What do you think style-wise? Will they go with black tights and a dress or are they too outdoorsy? (Although I wouldn't go on a hike with heels!)

I really like those M&S ones, but out of stock in most sizes! I think maybe it's the wrong time of year to be buying winter boots as they're getting all the summer stuff in.
