As you can see the greys are multiplying rapidly now and I hate them.
I've tried covering with all over brown tint but it was too dark and made me look pale. So last summer I had blonde highlights which were ok but I feel made me look washed out and were so light I felt the top of my head looked even greyer!
I also think the bleach has really dried my hair out and add to that the wiry greys it feels horrible.

Now the highlights are growing out and I am going to the hairdresser's for a consultation as I don't know what to do next.
I'm thinking about possibly an all over tint and leaving some highlights untinted so it's not just one block colour.
Or I am thinking balayage as I love the look and think then I could just get roots done every few weeks.

I hate my hair currently and feel I've made a mess of it but don't know what to do for the best. I know some people will say accept the grey but I hate and this isn't an option. Feeling really self conscious about it and just very ungroomed!

I'm sure there are other people who have similar stage grey hair so I'd be really grateful if you could tell me what you do so that I can talk to hairdresser about options.

I'm just letting mine multiply. One piece of advice I can give is don't go dark , a couple of my friends went very dark and their hair was too dark for them skin tone.

I'd see a hairdresser to start with considering you've had alot go on your hair in the past. Then colour at home. I personally cant justify the expense and time sitting in a salon every 6 weeks.

I use casting colours which is a semi, so supposed to wash out after 6 weeks. The grey has grown out long before 40 washes though, but its cheap enough to have several boxes at home for when I need it. Also supposed to be kinder to hair than a permanent colour which penetrates to the cuticle but causes a line when growing out, whereas this doesnt leave a line.
