HELP!!!! What do I wear to an early dinner in posh hotel then Theatre trip?

Ladies - I need your advice!

Got a trip to London (I am a northern lass!) to stay in a 4* hotel, attend a presentation and dinner and then trip to theatre - what on earth do I wear?

It will be in Nov and may be walking from hotel to theatre (not sure yet), but what is the chic thing to wear?!! I am a curvy 14/16 BTW!

I'd wear a trouser suit (means you could wear comfy boots underneath) with a dressy top.
FWIW, unless you're in a box at the theatre, you'll probably find people in their sunday best and in tracksuits, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

What are you going to see?

We had a choice of 6 different shows, so chose 'We Will Rock You' - mainly as my Mum (!) saw it last year and said it was good!

TRrousers & top and my heeled boots seem a good idea - I could wear strappy shoes in the hotel maybe - a bit more dressy?
