Shelf life life of unopened skin care products and make up

Currently in USA and have purchased 2 products that I love which are not available in UK.
NO point in me buying multiples to bring home if they will be off by the time I open them.

The are a pencil gel eyeliner by Neutrogena
And Palmers Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil for Face

How long could these be ok unopened ?

I have eyeliners that are years old that I still use! But I would have thought that unopened products would keep for at least a year or two. Some shops probably have stock that’s over a year old.
